Whipper Snapper Cattails

I love cattails!! So when I saw Anna Wight's new Fish Friends set with these darling cattails, I actually squealed. I colored them, and the sweet dragonfly, with copics, and added a bit of glitter to the dragonfly. I then added some fun flock to the cattails, cause that's the most fun thing about them irl...their texture. The shapes are all Nestabilities (Spellbinders), and the flowers were made with Martha Stewart punches and the 5-petal flower (Stampin' Up!). The border punch is also Martha Stewart, and the tag was made with a cuttlebug die.

Supplies:
Stamps - Fish Friends (Whipper Snapper)
Paper - Neenah Natural White, Papaya Puree Dark, Buttercream (pris
matics), Chloe's Closet (Making Memories)
Ink - Vintage Sepia (Versafine), Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Accessories - Copics, Curved Rectangles Nestabi
lities (Spellbinders), Martha Stewart Punches, 5-petal and slot punch (SU), Fun Flock, glitter, Cuttlebug, sewing machine, Latte Pearls (Kaisercraft), Ribbon (Papertrey), dimensional tape

Maya Road Altered binder III

Here's my third and final binder!! The sentiment is from Inque Boutique, as is the flourish behind it.

The tag was created with the JustRite Trompe Script Font.

Edited to add:
All the Book Binders are by Maya Road and are 5" x 7". They fit perfectly in the hand. They also have chipboard dividers that I decorated with matching dp and added alphabet tabs. (I couldn't get photos that did the inside justice...they just looked odd.

Laurie and I head out tomorrow morning!! I'll try to post some pics while at CHA...it all depends on if Laurie will let me use her laptop or not. So, if you don't see anything, Laurie's being a brat and won't share.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend!!
Happy Stamping!
Tosh

Edit to add: The binder is 5" x 7" and has chipboard dividers, which I covered with matching dp and alphabet tabs.

The rest is pretty self explanatory.

Have a fabulous rest of the week!

CHA Bound!! Woot!

I'm so excited to share my projects with you these next three days. I'm going to CHA with Michelle (Stamper's Dream) and Laurie (Lauraly), and I can hardly contain myself. We can't wait to see and purchase new product for the Stamper's Dream Store!

Well, when visiting so many different vendors, it's hard to remember each detail of each company, so I altered a binder (Maya Road) for each of us.

This is the first of the three. I used the Harmony Classic Circle Stamper III Ensemble (JustRite) for this one. I loved the sentiment and the charming butterfly. This set comes with a 3 1/4" Circle Stamper, to be used with 6 Designer Borders and 6 Designer Centers. Talk about flexibility! They're so easy to use, and so versatile! If you haven't checked out the JustRite blog, you should, they have some fabulous product debuting at CHA, and Michelle will be carrying it in her store!! I'm a HUGE JustRite fan, so I can't wait for the new product!! Woot!! The *2009* and *Notes* sentiments were createad with JustRite's Brayton and Trompe Script Fonts, and their Harmony Rectangle Stamper.

The swirls behind the sentiment medallion are from Doodlebug. They're sticky on both sides, so all you do, is peel them off of their base, stick them on the surface you want to decorate, sprinkle them with glitter, and rub the glitter in. Woila...how easy is that. The warm and yummy brown glitter that I used is called BonBon Sugar Coating. (Doodlebug) This glitter by Doodlebug is fine and the colors are fabulous!! LOVE this stuff.

Finally, I have to show you what I did with the bindings on the side. I wanted to cover the back and side, but the silver bindings would be hard to cover with cardstock. So, I just took my CarlCraft flower punch, punched out the flower over where the silver studs would be, and woila, it looks like a flower center. I LOVE the look.

All the edges are ink distressed with Walnut Stain (Ranger Distress Ink)

Supplies:
Stamps - Harmony Classic Circle Stamper III, Harmony Rectangle Stamper, Brayton and Trompe Script Complete Fonts (JustRite)
Paper - Upsy Daisy, Suede Brown Dark (Prismatics), Neenah Solar White
Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Walnut Stain (Ranger Distress Ink)
Accessories - Nestabilties, Doodlebug Swirls, Doodlebug Sugarcoating Glitter, Martha Stewart Border Punch, CarlCraft Flower punch, Copics, Dimensional tape

Thanks so much for stopping by! I love visitors!! *grin*
Check back in Thursday and Friday to see the other binders. I should also have a Whipper Snapper project ready for you to see on Saturday too.
I hope you're week is off to a fabulous start!!
Happy Stamping!

Non-traditional Love

The 20th of each month, the Dirty Dozen Alumni host a challenge. Here are the guidelines for this month.

Challenge Focus: A Valentine's Day/Love-y Dove-y card!!

Required Element: Texture!! Anything you can *feel* (ie: Fun Flock, Crystal Effects, Embossing/Debossing, velvet ribbon...and I am sure there are a million more things that I cannot think about!!)

Restricted Element: No RED!! Pink is ok...but no red...let's see what other colors we can use for Valentine's Day!

Well, I thought this "For the Love of Birds" (Our Craft Lounge) image would be perfect for this non-traditional "lovey-dovey" card.

The image is colored with copics, and the birds are popped up for dimension. My texture you ask? Well, the cs is textured, the card is very dimensional, and the filigree brads are textured. Hope this qualifies.

Supplies:
Stamps - For the love of Birds (OCL)
Paper - Wild Asparagus (MME), Tawny Light and Medium, White, Baby Blue Light (Prismatics), Neenah Solar White
Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Brushed Corduroy (Ranger Distress)
Accessories - Nestabilities, Copics, Ribbon, Filigree Brads (SU), Pearls (Kaisercraft), Corner Tag Punch (SU), Flower Punch (Carlcraft), dimensional tape

You're the Best with Whipper Snapper!!

Isn't this mushroom just the cutest? I love the shape and the fringe along the bottom. It's from the new Whipper Snapper set Fish Friends, Designed by Anna Wight. I stamped it onto Neenah Solar White cs with Tuxedo Black (Memento), and colored it with copics.

I thought it'd be fun to make a circle card with the new Making Memories Paper line called Chloe's Closet, because the colors are so fresh and fun. The circle and scallops are all Spellbinders Nestabilities shapes, as well as the Labels I center framing the image. I used the Martha Stewart Lacy border punch for the strip across the middle, pierced around the inner circle, and added a button.

I couldn't fit the sentiment on the outside since the circle is small, so I finished off the inside, like Denise Marzec (The Paper Landscaper) is so fabulous at doing!

Supplies: Stamps - Fish Friends (Whipper Snapper - Anna Wight designs) Paper - Chloe's Closet (Making Memories), Prismatics Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento) Accessories - Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Cuttlebug, Lacy Border Punch (Martha Stewart), Button (Stampin' UP!) Circle Piercing Template (The Crafters Workshop), Piercing Tool (Making Memories)

That's it! I hope your week is off to a fantastic start! I know mine is. I'm busy getting ready to head to CHA!! And I have some fabulous projects to show you, this week, that I made for Michelle (Stamper's Dream) and Laurie (just give me stamps) to use while there.

Be sure to check out what the other Featured Designers have done with Anna's new images!! They're awesome!!

Exciting News!!

I'm so excited!! I finally get to share some exciting news that I've been keeping under my hat for awhile. I got an email about a month ago from Anna Wight, asking if I would be one of her Featured Designers for the months of January and February. What a huge honor!! Of course I said yes!

Hopefully I'll have a project to show you later today. I'm waiting for Mr. Brown to deliver my images. Check out her new sets HERE. But don't forget to check back later.

Fish Lips

It's time, once again, for CCEE's CNFS (catchy name featured stamper). Cindy (Mothermark), chose FishLips this month. So we were to include a card with a fish on it. I chose this cute fish from the Loads of Sushi (Stampendous) set.

See the fish lips? *grin* I made them kissing the acetate window and even added crystal lacquere to make them *glossy*. The fish was colored with copics, and has a touch of glitter to glam her up a bit. The washing machine is also colored with copics, and has an acetate window. Obivious, I know since you can see the smudge. Oh, how I can't wait to learn how to use my photoshop program for those editing purposes. LOL

I embossed the Frosted Cobalt (Prismatics) layer with the Cuttlebug bubbles folder, sewed randomly around the edges, and ink distressed it all with Mushroom (Adirondack Dye) Ink.

The sentiment was stamped with Tuxedo Black (Memento) onto Birchtone Light and was cut out with the Ribbon Tags Trio oval (Spellbinders). I sponged the inside of the shape with Mushroom (Adirondak) ink before removing the die. I also scored on either side of the ribbon with my Scor-Pal.

To see what the other girls have come up with, check out our CCEE blog. We'd love to have you play along too. All you have to do is make a card with a fish on it and leave a link in the comment section of the CCEE blog post.

Supplies:
Stamps - Loads of Sushi (Stampendous)
Paper - Birchtone Light and Dark, Frosted Cobalt, White (Prismatics), Neenah Solar White
Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Mushroom (Adirondack)
Accessories - Brad, Copics, Spellbinders, Buttons (Stampin' UP!), Ribbon (American Craft), Corner rounder, Sewing Machine, Cuttlebug, Sponge, Dimensionals

Going Gourmet with Our Craft Lounge

If you haven't discovered the new Stamp Company "Our Craft Lounge", you should really go check out their site. They have some darling images, they're deeply etched and stamp beautifully.

I thought this coffee mug with biscotti from the "Going Gourmet" set was just darling, so I decided to make a small 4x4 card.

The image is colored with copics, and I framed it with the Nestabilities (Spellbinders) frame Labels II. All the edges are ink Distressed with Mushroom (Adirondack Dye Ink), and the main panel is popped up with dimensionals. The mug is actually 3 layers.

I didn't have any brown Candy Dots ( I love their texture), so I colored white ones with my copics. You can get these fun dots from Taylor at her Taylored Expressions store, among other fun embellishments, alterables, and stamps.

Supplies:
Stamps - Going Gourmet (Our Craft Lounge)
Paper - Heritage (HOTP), Mystic Medium, Baby Blue Light (Prismatics)
Ink - Smokey Gray (Versafine), Mushroom (Adirondack Dye Ink)
Accessories - Nestabilities Labels II, Copics, Felt Ribbon (Stampin' UP!), Candy Dots (Pebbles, Inc), fibers, piercing tool, Tim Holtz Ruler, Dimensional Tape

Rainy Days

Aren't Lily and Milo just the sweetest? I just love this darling image, and coloring it was so much fun! I used SCS's Sketch for this card. You can find it HERE.

I got this precious Rainy Days image from Stamper's Dream. I colored it with copics and added some sparkle with my Quickie Glue Pen, and Ultrafine Transparent Glitter.

I ink distressed the edges with Old Paper (Ranger Distress Ink), the distressed them all with my fingernail. Sometimes the paper tears, but I love the look of that. I then sewed around all the edges and added some Martha Stewart Punch Butterflies that have Rhinestone Stickers (Kaisercraft) as their centers.

Finally, I added a Paper Flower (Kaisercraft), with a button (Making Memories), and some fibers. That about sums it up. If you ever have any questions, feel free to email me by clicking on my email link.

Oh, I almost forgot, the image is paper toled. The umbrella has three layers, whereas Lily and Milo are only 2 layers.

Supplies: Stamps - Lily and Milo: Rainy Days (Stampavie) Paper - Baby Powder (Imaginisce), Vanilla Cream (Prismatics) Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Old Paper (Ranger) Accessories - Nestabilities, Copics, Butterfly punches (Martha Stewart), Paper flower (Kaisercraft), Rhinestone Stickers (Kaisercraft), Button (MM), Fibers, Glitter, Sewing Machine, Dimensional Tape

New Blog Banner!!

What do you think of my new Blog Banner? I LOVE it!! Jami (sgt Stamper) designed this for me, and even helped me change my template. Not only is she AMAZING, she's absolutely the sweetest!!!!!! I just answered a couple of questions, and this is what she came up with the very first time around. She NAILED it!! And only in a couple of days. WOW!!

If you're interested in a new banner, a watermark, modifications to your existing blog, or other changes, visit her on-line studio: Sgt Stamper's Studio. I highly recommend working with Jami. I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to computer stuff, and she took great care of me.

Thanks a million Jami! I really enjoyed working with you and wish you the best in all your new endeavors!!

CCEE Baby Photo

I checked on our CCEE blog, and not a one got us all right. Don't worry. I missed two also, so you're not alone.

Well, this is me at 3 months old. My DH said I look like I'm talking on the phone. I guess it does kinda look like that. *grin*

I didn't use any forbidden elements on mine either. I think Cindy (Mothermark) owes me a prize for that one, cause even she messed up her own rules. She didn't use ribbon.

I gave a bit of color to the image with my pastels, used my coluzzle for the oval, my Scor-Pal for the diamond bg, and just a plain 'ole exacto-knife for the canopy along the top. That's it.

The ribbon is by American Craft, and there's no stamping involved.

I hope you all enjoyed this little challenge as much as we did putting it together. Remember, you still have until Sat. to comment on the CCEE blog to be entered to win the blog candy. Of course, you don't have to guess any longer since we're all revealing who's who now....*grin*

Supplies:
Stamps - None
Paper - Very Vanilla, Kraft, White (Prismatics)
Ink - None (picture was just photocopied)
Accessories - Coluzzle, Exacto knife, Scor-Pal, Ribbon, Pastels

Happy Stamping Everyone!!

CCEE Baby Photo collage

Okay, so this isn't a card, and all my posts are about cards.

It's Monday, and that means it's time for my weekly CCEE challenge with some nutty SCSers. This month, Cindy (Mothermark - SCS) is in charge of the challenges. She's quite the creative one, let me tell ya. (grin)

Well, she decided it would be fun for each of us to make a card with a baby photo of ourselves and to let you all try to guess who's who, to win some blog candy.

Michelle from Stamper's Dream, kindly donated this darling Baby set by Rubber Soul.

So head on over to the CCEE blog to see the different baby photo cards and see if you can tell who made each card. Okay, if you know Cindy, you know we had a gazillion rules in which we had to abide by, so if you think you'll be able to tell the photo, by the style of the card, you're sadly mistaken. But, you can post a comment and take a guess. Cindy will randomly draw a winner of the blog candy on Sat. And a correct answer isn't required.

We'll all post our cards to our blogs on Tuesday, so you won't be kept in suspense too long.

A Stamper's Dream Sketch Challenge

It's Thursday, and it's time for the monthly challenge for Stamper's Dream. This month we were given a sketch to work with. We'd love to have you participate too. Michelle is offering blog candy. All you have to do is make a card with this sketch, and link it in the comment section of Michelle's Stamper's Dream blog to be entered in the drawing. It's as simple as that. If you upload to SCS, please enter the key words: SDDC4.

For this month's challenge, I used this darling image called Playtime by Rachelle Ann Miller. I stamped it with Tuxedo Black (Memento) onto Neenah Solar White cs, and colored it with my copics. The turtles were stamped and colored twice and are given dimension with dimensional tape.

All the other papers are Prism: Baby Pink Medium, Crabapple Dark, White

The dots are Candy Dots that I got from Taylored Expressions, and I ink distressed the edges with Cranberry Crisp (Stampin' UP!)

The rest is pretty self explanatory.
Now, head on over to the galleries of the rest of the Stamper's Dream DT. They have some fantastic cards to show you!!

Stamps - Playtime (Rachelle Ann Miller - Stampavie)

Elegant Nightingale

When I saw today's sketch on SCS, found HERE, I immediately thought of my Inque Boutique images that I got from Stamper's Dream. I haven't used them in ages, and they're so gorgeous!!!

So, I hauled out my Nightingale and my Aged and Elegant set, and went to work. I love this sketch and how this card turned out.

To start, I stamped the nightingale with Espresso Dye Ink (Adirondack) onto Champagne Metallic cs (Prism), and colored it with my copics.

I then rock and rolled the flourishes with Cool Caribbean and True Thyme (Stampin' UP!), spritzed them with my Extra Fine Mist spray bottle by Judikins (I love this mister...it's awesome!!), and stamped them onto Buttercream (Prism). The mats and flowers are Birchtone (Prism), Buttercream, and Tres Jolie (My Mind's Eye) dp.

The flowers are made from Martha Stewart flower punches and 2 Pewter Pearls (Kaisercraft), and the sentiment is stamped with True Thyme (SU) and is from the Aged and Elegant set (Inque Boutique).

Finally, I punched the corners with my Lace Border punch by Martha Stewart, and added some organdy ribbon. (Which I crinkled by lightly heating with a heating tool).

All the edges are ink distressed with Mushroom Dye Ink (Adirondack), and each panel is raised with dimensional tape!!

Supplies:
Stamps - Nightingale, Aged and Elegant (Inque Boutique)
Paper - Tres Jolie (My Mind's Eye), Birchtone, Buttercream, Champagne Metallic (Prism)
Ink - Espresso, Mushroom (Adirondack Dye), Cool Caribbean, True Thyme (SU)
Accessories - Copics, Martha Stewart Flower and Lace Border Punches, Pewter Pearls (Kaisercraft), Organdy Ribbon, Heat Tool, Dimensional Tape, Extra Fine Mist Spritzer (JudiKins)

Enjoy life!

Happy New Year! Now that it's the beginning of the year, our CCEE group is doing our weekly challenges each Monday again.

For this week, we're using H&M stamps that were sent to us. Well, most of us anyway. The ones I picked got lost somewhere in the mail. But I had these darling images from the Lil' Behind set. I chose this cute little chick to use, but there are many, many other cute images in this set too.

Now, H & M Stamps is having a HUGE garage sale Jan. 6-7. Their sets will be as little as $5 a piece. So go check out their store. We all love a bargain!!

Now for the card details: I stamped this lil chick with Smokey Gray (Versafine) onto Neenah Natural White CS, colored it with copics, and added some fun-flock. I mixed the yellow and white together to soften the brightness of the yellow. The circles were cut with my Nestabilties, and the borders are Martha Stewart Punches, as well as the butterflies.

To see what the others have done with their sets, click HERE. We'd love to have you play along too if you have one of the H&M sets.

Supplies:
Stamps - A Lil' Behind (H&M Stamps), Stampscapes (grass)
Paper - Prism
Ink - Smokey Gray (Versafine), Frayed Burlap (Ranger)
Accessories - Nestabilties (Spellbinders), Copics, Flock, Adornit stickers, K&Company Rhinestone stickers, Piercing tool, Cuttlebug folders, ribbon, dimensional tape, Martha Stewart border and butterfly punches, ribbon

I hope you have a fantastic week!!

A Warm Birthday Wish...

I made this card awhile back for my BIL. He has a birthday close to Christmas. I put this together fairly quickly, right before I gave it to him, so I got off a few quick shots in my photo tent and gave it along with a fun gift. I haven't had the opportunity to upload it until now.

We camp each year with my husband's brother and his family, and we get together around our fire pit quite often throughout the year too. So, being that his birthday is in December, I thought this image, from Firecracker Designs, was perfect. (Especially since you will see my DH and him standing like this quite often around the fire....grin).

I colored him with copics and gave him a background with the Lovely as a Tree set from SU. They have a touch of white get pen, and the fire has a bit of glitter. The edges are all ink distressed with Frayed Burlap (Ranger Distress).

Supplies:
Stamps - Firecracker Designs, Lovely as a Tree (SU)
Paper - Prism
Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Frayed Burlap (Ranger)
Accessories - Martha Stewart Border Punch, Glitter, Labels I Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Copics, Inkssentials White Gel Pen, Felt Snowflakes (Stampin' UP!), Dew Drop, Corner Rounder

Hope you are enjoying your weekend, and that your year is off to a fantastic start!!
Happy Stamping!

Charming Gardner

Happy New Year everyone!! It's so nice to be able to just *do what I want* today. Relax, stamp, read...whatever I feel like.

Well, I started this card yesterday with this darling flower image from the Charming Gardner set of Impression Obsession. I LOVE this set. It has a gorgeous tall jar filled with flowers, rainboots filled with flowers, and this sweet trio. Michelle has it and some more fabulous IO images in her store Stamper's Dream...along with a variety of stamps, fantastic papers, ribbon and embellishments.

Oh, back to the beginning...I started this card yesterday, and couldn't find the *perfect* ribbon. FedEx helped though. It brought me my new papers from Emma's Paperie!! And in the box, she included some of this darling gingham ribbon!! PERFECT!! It was just what I needed to finish this card. I added a Stampin' Up button, and to finish it off, and add a bit of silver for today's Ways to use it Challenge on SCS, I added this adorable little watering can charm that I got from StarLitStudio. Cindy has some fabulous charms and other goodies in her awesome store, so you should go check it out.

I colored my image with copics and added a touch of glitter to the flower centers. The edges are all ink distressed with Old Paper and Frayed Burlap (Ranger Distress), and the pearls are from Kaisercraft.

The corners were punched with a darling punch that I received from my dear friend JoJot, and the back panel is Labels I by Spellbinders.

Supplies:
Stamps - Charming Gardner (Impression Obsession)
Paper - Rusty Pickle, White and Kraft (Prism)
Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Old Paper and Frayed Burlap (Ranger Distress)
Accessories - Pearls (Kaisercraft), Charm (starlitstudio), button (SU), Ribbon (Emma's Paperie), Corner punches, glitter, dimensional tape

That about sums it up. Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I hope you have a fabulous first day of the new year!!
