I love making elegant cards!! So, when I saw this Winter Birds set by Inkadinkado at Stamper's Dream, my heart went pitter-patter. I had to have it. This is my second card with this set, and you'll probably see more before Christmas is here.
This was really easy to make. I let all the products do the work for me...*grin*. To start, I inked up the owl image with Versamark and embossed it with Silver ep (JudiKins), onto Neenah Solar White cs. I layered it with Scotch Mounting tape onto ovals that I cut with my Oval Nestabilities and Cuttlebug. The white bg is also embossed with my swirls cuttlebug folder.
Now, the rhinestone stickers. I ordered them online probably about a half-a-year ago or more, without looking at the dimensions. OH MY!! Talk about HUGE swirls. Some were 6" long. I put them aside not knowing what to do with them at the time. Well, I've been organizing my stamp room lately and came across these rhinestone swirls again. When I thought about making a silver and white card with this owl...I thought how cool it would be to have them flowing down from the oval. Woila!! They were really easy to use.
Finally, I stamped *Christmas Cheer* (Inque Boutique) with Smokey Gray (Versafine) on the top and embossed it with Clear ep (Judikins). For a finishing touch, I added the wired Silver Ribbon (May Arts) and some individual rhinestone stickers (Me and My Big Ideas Icons) on the sentiment and corners.
