Small but Mighty Magnets ~ Power Poppy

http://powerpoppy.com/products/small-but-mighty-affirmations/
Hello friends!!  Have you been enjoying the Power Poppy previews?  I know...Marcella has done it again!!  What a fabulous new release, eh?

Well, today we are featuring a set filled with a wonderful variety of encouraging, beautifully written sentiments!!!  It's called Small but Mighty Affirmations.  I couldn't choose just one to make a card with, so I decided to make them into magnets for my fridge.  They would also make great gifts to encourage a friend, or your kids.  I was just thinking I could have used more shapes too, like hearts, stars and even squares for a variety.

Watercolor is all the rage right now, so I took some Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock, spritzed it thoroughly with water, and then added my Distress Spray Stains:  Abandoned Coral and Spiced Marmalade together, and Peacock Feathers with Twisted Citron.  I then diecut two different sizes of circles (Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles ~ JustRite), stamped the inspirational sentiments with Versamark, embossed them with Detailed Black ep (Ranger), and added Glossy Accents (Ranger) over each one to make them shiny.  They look even more bold and brilliant irl.  Oh...I also diecut adhesive backed magnets with the same dies and adhered the sentiment circles to them.  Voila...easy-peasy!!

That about sums today's project up.  For some more inspiration, check out the following Bloom Brigade Blogs:
Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you'll drop by tomorrow for another fabulous Power Poppy Preview!

Happy Stamping!

Oh, Tosh, this is a fabulous idea to make magnets, and I love making the watercolor backgrounds - they really are the rage now. Great idea too adding the Glossy Accents to make them shine and also the thin magnet sheets. So cool like these fabulous sentiments! Hugs, sweet friend!

Thanks for using all the stamps and showing us what is included in the set. Based on your post this set has moved to the top of my short list, you know the list of things you will eventually buy instead of the list os supplies you just wish you had.

I absolutely love these fun and colorful bits of encouragement! My first thought, too, was to make magnets, but then I couldn't think what metal I had in my stamp room to put them on. Later I remembered, duh, I have a whole metal file cabinet. These look awesome against the black and, gee, my file cabinet is black. Thanks for the inspiration, Tosh!
