A Sad Farewell...

It's hard to believe, but Michelle, owner of Stamper's Dream, is closing her on-line store. I've been one of Michelle's original Design Team members, so it's hard for me to even imagine Stamper's Dream not even being there anymore. Owning a store, whether it be brick and mortar, or on-line, is a huge undertaking, and Michelle has been running Stamper's Dream, and working full time. I don't know how she's done it as long as she has. She's decided to focus more on her family and take some time to enjoy life for a change!! You go girl!!

Michelle, it's been an honor to design for you, as well sharing some wonderful memories at CHA. Although I will miss your store, I know how to find ya, so ya can't get rid of me that easily. *grin* Love ya my friend!!

Anyway, as a farewell, Michelle is putting everything in the store on sale, and is having a final Stamper's Dream Blog hop with the current DT as well as some of the past members.

Everything in the store is 20% off with the coupon code Farewell2U. Just enter it on the checkout page in the coupon section and it will take 20% off the lowest marked price of the items in your shopping cart! There is a $20 minimum to activate the coupon. Sorry, but there will be no free shipping during the liquidation.

Now, for my card:

I've always been a fan of JustRite images, and have used them often. So of course, for my last SD hop, I had to pull some out. I used two different sets: Be Strong, and Christmas Trimmings for the sentiment "Believe". Christmas is not an easy time for everyone. There are some who have suffered recent losses, or are struggling with an illness or disease. So I though making an ornament with the sentiment "Believe", and including a little "Hope" tag at the top might fit well to remind some that they can believe in Christ and have some hope.

I used the small oval in the Be Strong set to frame the sentiment "Hope". The little butterfly also comes in this set.

I think the oval frame fit beautifully in the new 2011 Heriloom Ornament die by Spellbinders.

To finish off my card, I added some lace, a bit of sparkle with some rhinestones, some seam binding ribbon, and a little button.

That's it for my card, be sure to visit the other Stamper's Dream hoppers. There's a lot of inspiration to be had today.

A Summery Birthday Treat

It's time for another CCEE Stamper's Blog Challenge, and this week we were challenged to make a card/project with an ice cream image or sentiment since it's National Ice Cream Day July 17.

Well, since I don't own any ice cream images, I decided to make my own cone with a template by Linsey Rickett that I found on the Scor-Pal website. She calls them Ice cream cups.

See the sweet medallion I attached? I made it with a JustRite set called Elegant Charms. I love them. There are a variety of shapes and sentiments, and they come in handy for packages, or just to dress up a card. I got mine at Stamper's Dream.

To get the cone texture, I embossed it with the bottom portion of the Sizzix Embossing Folder Thank You Set #5, and lightly sanded it.

The ice cream portion of the cone was made with felt, and I added some Burlap String and a sweet little button.

Thanks so much for stopping. Be sure to check out the CCEE Stamper's Blog to see what summery treats the other gals are sharing.

Happy Stamping!
Tosh

Christmas in July

(Click on the photo for a closer view)

I have another card to share with you today, that I made with images from the JustRite set Christmas Trimmings. You can get JustRite images, as well as a plethora of fun stamping and scrapping supplies, from Stamper's Dream. I stamped the wreath and garland directly onto the Webste's dp, colored them with Copics, and diecut them with Labels 15 from Spellbinders. I just love the holly leaves and berries. And the bow is separate so you can attach it wherever you please. This set has a wonderful variety of images to play with.

The dp is all from Webster's Pages Holiday Collection; including the bird. I just glued the dp to cardstock to make it strong, and cut him out. Lastly, I just sewed around the panels and added a couple of buttons.

That's it.
Thanks for dropping by!
Happy Stamping!

Teapot Tuesday: Birds and Daisies

Hello!! Happy Tuesday!! I'm excited to share a card with you today that I made with JustRite images that I got from Stamper's Dream. I LOVE birds, bird cages, bird houses...well, anything to do with birds. So when I saw these charming birdcages from the JustRite set Spread your wings, I knew I had to have them. I combined the birdcage with a sentiment from the JR set Elegant Charms. I love it when I can mix and match sets.

Now, this card was made for this week's Teapot Tuesday challenge, and is going to a sweet lady named Rita who has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. She loves birds (a gal after my own heart), and the teapot we were to use had daisies on it, so we were to include 3 daisies, birds, and bees. Do you see the bees? No? Well, they're hiding behind the flowers. *grin*...no back door for me...lol

The medallion in the center of the ribbon was made with Silver Viva Decor gel and a Silicone button mold.

Now, before anyone says anything, I do realize the gray ruler is upside down. Well, that's the way they made the dp. There was a bright yellow "right-side-up" ruler underneath which I originally had, but decided to cover it up because it was blinding me in the photo. Since the card was all sewed up, there was no way to change the upside down ruler...*sigh*...handmade ya know. lol

That's it for today ya'll. Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see what I've come up with with some more JustRite images.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you're having a fantastic week!

Happy Stamping!!
Tosh

So I got out my newest papers of his Paper Stash Crowded Attic!! I love the deep rich colors and fabulously fun patterns. For my image, I chose the JustRite set Friendship Blooms. Even my little flower was made with an image from that set and the Spellbinders Blossom 3 die. The little dragonfly charm is from Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden Metal Charms.

Hoppin' with Stamper's Dream and JustRite

Hello everyone!! I have the honor of hopping with Stamper's Dream and JustRite today!! And I love 'em both!! For today, I used the JustRite set Kindness. The frames and sentiments are gorgeous, and fit with Spellbinders' Labels 20 die!! I inked up the frame with Oasis Green (Versa Magic) and thumped Wheat (Versa Magic) over it lightly. For the background, I sloppily added some White Acrylic paint to some Butterfly Garden PinkPaislee paper and added some painted strips. I stamped the sentiment with Onyx Black Versafine, and some of the flourishes around it with Smokey Gray Versafine.

I made the lace flower with some Kaisercraft lace, and added a Maya Road Rhinestone Button to the center. Lastly, I added some Pleasure White Pearl flourishes by Zva Creative, and sewed across the dp strips.

Now, Michelle (Stamper's Dream), is offering some fabulous Blog Candy that's hidden on one of the blogs. All you have to do is leave a comment and you have a chance to win.

There's some JustRite Candy hidden along the way too. This is what they're offering:

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter my friends!! Hallelujah!! He has Risen!!
We will be celebrating Easter with my DH's family today and I hope you all have a day filled with Blessings. I, for one, count myself blessed beyond words as I reflect on the significance of Christ's resurrection

I know this card is secular, but Easter eggs are a fun memory of mine: decorating, hiding, finding. Although we like to focus on Christ's resurrection, we also have fun playing games, such as finding eggs. So this card is a celebration of youth. I used a variety of Verve images and dies. The little chick and basket come from the set Chicks Rule, and the eggs and sentiment are from the set Egg-stra Special. The sentiment is framed with A Cut Above Charming Oval Die.

The basket is on a Labels 18 (Spellbinders) base, and is hanging from an Elegant Post (Spellbinders). The doily underneath was made by cutting a Parisian Motif (Spellbinders) diecut piece in half.

That's it from me today. I hope you have a Blessed Easter!!
Happy stamping my friends!!

Butterfly Suite

March has arrived. And it's colder here than it was in January!! Crazy!! But I love it!! Cold and rainy weather just makes me feel all cozy when I'm in the house, and creating in my stamp room!! Now I just need an extra hot vanilla latte!! *sigh*

Okay...you probably came here to see a card, not listen to me ramble about weather. *grin* Since it's Thursday, it's time for another CCEE Challenge, and this week our fearless hostess Joanne has challenged us to include swirls on our cards. I used some swirly rhinestones for the butterfly trails.

I just fell in love with this Penny Black image when I saw it in the Stamper's Dream Store, and just had to have it. I mean seriously...it has music, flowers and butterflies!! Be still my heart. It's called Butterfly Suite. I stamped it with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and colored it with my Copics, and then framed it with the Labels 10 die. I also added some lace, a punched and scored border, some ribbon, and a sweet little button. The sentiment along the bottom left is from a JustRite set called Fancy Tags. Lastly, I thought this sweet image needed a bit of sparkle, so I added some Startdust Stickles to top it all off. Oh, and that beautiful dp is from Echo Park's Springtime line!!! I'm in love with this collection!!!
Here's a close up so you can see a bit of the sparkle. If you click on the photo you can see the sparkle a bit more.

That's it for my card today my friends!! Be sure to check out what the other CCEE gals have to share over at the CCEE Stamper's Blog.

Thanks for Visiting!! And happy stamping!!

Stamper's Dream Hop

Stamper's Dream is having a blog hop, and I hope you can hop along with us. If you came from the fabulously talented Amy's blog, you're on the right track. Otherwise, you might want to start at the beginning with Michelle.

The Stamper's Dream Team, along with some friends, is making projects with some of their favorite images from the Stamper's Dream Store. I tell ya, Michelle is getting more and more stuff in her store each week!! And you can win some of the fabulous goodies that Michelle is carrying right now too. The candy is hidden on one of the blogs. So, all you have to do to win one is leave a comment. The more blogs you comment on, the better chance you have of winning. I have photos of the candy at the end of this post.

For my card today, I chose to use a "Thanks" sentiment from the JustRite set You're so sweet. My daughter TA's for a wonderful 3rd grade teacher who is always surprising her with sweet little gifts. So she wanted to say "Thanks" with a card. I thought the Schoolhouse dp by October Afternoon was perfect. I also used this weeks Monday Mojo Sketch 179 as my inspiration.

Since it's also Thursday, I made this card for the CCEE challenge which was to use some form of distressing on your card/project; whether it be ink distressing, or paper distressing. I used both. I ink distressed with Antique Linen Ranger Distress ink, and I distressed the sides of my center panel with my Zutter Distrezz~it~All. We'd love to see your distressing too. Just head on over to the CCEE Stamper's Blog for all the details. The gals have some wonderful examples to show you too.

Next up on the hop is the sweet and talented Mariana.
Here's a list of what you can win?? :o)

New Stamp Room and a Mojo card

Hello my stamping friends!! It's a new week, and I'm excited to say, my Stamp Room remodel is finished, and I'm all moved in again. In fact, this is the first card I've made in my room since its completion!! Woo-Hoo!! I used last weeks Mojo Monday Sketch #177, because I loved the angles so much. I also used a huge variety of products that I got from Stamper's Dream. If you've never been to this on-line store before, you really need to check it out. Not only does Michelle carry a large variety of stamps, but she also has many different embellishments, papers, ribbons, and dies. Here's a list of what I used on my card: Kraft Envelope (Maya Road), Newsprint Cover-a-Card (IO), Lg Open Dot Tag (IO), Fancy Tags and Nested Frame Custom Dies (JustRite), Burlap String, and Walnut Stain (Ranger Distress Ink). I also included a button (PTI), a charm, and some staples, along with Making Memories Ledger Paper Pad dp. That about sums up my card for today. Now I'd like to share my new Stamp Room with you. Click Here to see the before pictures (you need to scroll down a bit)

I painted all my cupboards white, the walls Herbal Garden Light (Prismatics), and the shelf interiors Baby Blue Light (Prismatics). I also added some more lighting (although the pictures were taken with the lights off because it yellowed the green too much). I had some shelves added to an existing closet and had the doors removed too. Here's a 360 of the room starting with a view from the door, then from the left.

I displayed some of my favorite cards and projects on the shelves, along with some cards from friends. I also have my Perfect Pearls and Stickles on the Silver Lazy Susan on the third shelf from the top, and magazines on the top and bottom shelves.

Here you can see my buttons, sewing station (with the chair my Shih tzu "Bear" has to sit on while I'm in here...it's his throne.), and my CD carousel that I store my Verve images in. I also store my Spellbinders Dies in one. I purchased these CD carousels at Racks and Stands.com. My sweet husband is going to make a couple of plaques with antique glass knobs for me to hang the Verve image cards on. Right now they're stacked next to the CD's. Unfortunately he wasn't able to finish it before today.

Here you can see my island that I stamp on, and how I store my inks, Copics, Tombows and Spellbinders dies. I used to store my Tombows in the Storage Center on the left, but I just had too many markers...*sigh*. I got this storage center from Storage Units Ink and More. I got the Cubbies to store my Copics in from Studio 3 Solutions.

In this photo, you can see my closet. I have Martha Stewart Storage Units, as well as boxes that I have cards categorized by Theme (Birthday, Friend, Holiday, etc.). On the bottom I have all my ribbons stored by color, lace, string and seam binding.

My husband made a wall piece for some of my punches. Unfortunately I out grew it quite fast. The rest are stored on shelves and in some cupboards.

Here you can see where I store my papers, punches, and more. The baskets on the left have my embossing folders in them, and I also have my Verve Dies stored in one of the white boxes, and my MFT dies stored in another box along with other miscellaneous dies. The little basket on the bottom shelf holds all my Versamagic inks. Stored in the little clear drawers are the following: Sponge daubers large and small, double stick tape, acrylic blocks, signature stamps. I also have my Grand Calibur, Cuttlebug, Scor-pal and Scor-Buddy, Fiskars Rotary Cutter, and other stamping tools on the counter.

Here you can see the entrance, as well as my scrap paper storage that is arranged by color.

Lastly, this is the view from my room. If you look closely you can see the snow caps of the mountains.

Whew!! That's finally it for the tour. I hope you all enjoyed seeing where I spend quite a bit of my days. Now that it's all white, it's brightened it up considerably. In fact, I photographed my card in there...not in the usual photo tent. The natural light was perfect.

Happy stamping my friends!!

Just Bee~cause

It's Thursday already, and that means it's time for another CCEE Stamper's Challenge. This week Frances is challenging everyone to make a White card. I love making white cards for two main reasons: 1 ~ the paper decision is already made 2 ~ it really makes the image pop!!

I collect bee skeps, so as soon as I saw this Impression Obsession image called Heart Hive, at Stamper's Dream, I fell in love. I stamped it onto watercolor paper with Versamark, and colored it with my Tombows. Now, since I was making an all white card, I chose to cut the hive out, because my watercolor paper has a slight ivory hue to it. The bees and hearts were colored with copics, and I added a bit of sparkle to the wings and flower with my Quickie Glue pen, and some Ultrafine transparent glitter. I made the sentiment with the 25pt Curlz Font by JustRite, and added an EK Success Punched border, along with a silk ribbon, silver cord and a button.

That's about sums this card up. Now, be sure to stop by the CCEE Stamper's Blog to see what the other gals have made with the all white theme. We'd also love to have you play along.

Before I end this post, I'd like to share a photo with you. We've been inundated with fog this year, and I thought it looked cool with the heifers eating their morning breakfast. (The reason they're called "heifers" and not "cows", is because they haven't had their first calf yet. They're separated from the milking cows.) btw...this feed alley is about 1/4 mile long...you're looking at about 20 yards. (eta: I just noticed I had typed 1/2 mile instead of 1/4 mile thanks to Angella's comment...Yikes...that would be long!! Glad you said something Angella :o)

Stop by again tomorrow. I'll have an elegant Verve card to share with you.
Happy Stamping my friends!

Stamper's Dream Hop with JustRite Day 4

Have you all been enjoying JustRite week with the Stamper's Dream Team? I know I've enjoyed seeing what all these gals, and our fearless leader Michelle, have been sharing!! Quite the creative bunch, I tell ya!!

Well, today's the last day, and I have one more card to share with you. Have you noticed there's been a surge of red/black cards lately? Well, I have, and I must have gotten the bug, cause before I knew it, I was reaching for this gorgeous black/white dp by Best Creation Inc. I thought it would work beautifully with the JustRite image from the set The Greatest Joy Borders and Centers Ovals.

Since it's Thursday, I've incorporated the CCEE Stamper's challenge with this card. The challenge this week is to "Go Wild", as in the shape of the card. Frances challenged us to have odd angles in our card shape, so I used the Labels 6 Nestabilities die (Spellbinders), as a template for my scalloped corner. To frame the sentiment, I just used the Classic and Scalloped Classic Ovals (Spellbinders). Lastly I added a bit of embellishments with a Wild Orchid Rose, some swirl flocked ribbon, some black fibers, and some Twinkle Trim that I got at Hobby Lobby.

*grin*...I couldn't decide which angle I liked better when editing the photos, so I decided to use both.

That's it for my card today. Head on over to the following Dream Team Blogs for some fabulous inspiration!!
