A Penguin for Bert

It's my dear friend Bert's (aka: Charlene, aka: LilLuvsStampin) birthday this weekend, and she LOVES penguins. How perfect that she has a birthday during the winter months in the US. Well, since it's Thursday, It's time for a CCEE Stamper's challenge, and Frances has challenged us to make a card with a penguin on it. I decided to make my penguin an Emperor penguin because it just sounds royal, and this is for a VIP!! Thus the yellow under his neck. I also learned something new...I've always colored my penguin's feet a pale orange. Well shoot, they have black feet. I never paid that much attention to penguin details I guess.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to check out what the other CCEE Stamper's have to share with ya.
Happy Stamping my friends!!
Tosh

CCEE features Knightrone

This is my favorite challenge done by the CCEE group each month. This month Frances (StampOwl) chose Knightrone from SCS (Splitcoaststampers) to feature. We were to make a card with a knight on it and mail the finished card to Jesse.

I don't own any knight images, so Frances was kind enough to send this one. I don't know the company it's by, but I'll edit this post as soon as I find out.

eta: The image is by Elzybells

The image was colored with copics, and the bg is done with pastels.
I stamped the sentiment along the side with my Harmony Rectangular Stamper Set, the Brayton Font (JustRite), and Frayed Burlap (Ranger Distress Ink).

To see what the other girls have come up with, check out our blog: CCEE Stampers

Supplies: Stamps - Harmony Rectangular Stamper Set, Brayton Font (JustRite), Elzybells Paper - Archaic (Basicgrey), Suede Brown Dark and Kraft (Prismatics) Ink - Walnut Stain and Frayed Burlap (Ranger Distress) Accessories - Oval Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Border Punch (Martha Stewart), Candy Dots (Pebbles, Inc.), Dimensional Tape

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

CCEE Snowdeer Sketch

Cindy Haffner provided a sketch for our CCEE group this week. We'd love it if you played along too. All you have to do is click HERE, and link your card in the comment section. I can't wait to see what you all come up with!!

I flipped my sketch to fit this darling Snow Reindeer image (Elzybells). I stamped it onto Neenah Natural White and colored it with my copics. I used my Quickie Glue Pen and Ultrafine Transparent glitter to sparkle up the snow a bit. I then sewed across the top portion of the middle panel, squished my SU Felt Snowflakes in my Essential Glue pad and added glitter to those also.

I also tried out my new Distress Stickles. I punched out two brown circles and added the Walnut Stain distress Stickles to them, and I added Vintage Photo Stickles to the reindeer's nose. The edges are all ink distressed with Brushed Corduroy Ranger Distress ink, and the border is a Martha Stewart punch.

Thank you so much for your continued support. Check my post below for some fun BLOG CANDY. And to see what the other girls have created with this sketch, click HERE.

Eggs for Eggette!!

Is it Monday already? My did the weekend flow by!! Well, that means it's time once again for a CCEE challenge that I do with a super group of friends.

This week, Charlene (LilLuvsStampin) chose Eggette as our Creative Name Featured Stamper on SCS. The requirements? Of course...there are always requirements...the card had to have an egg on it, green, and ribbon.

To see what the other girls have come up with, click HERE. We'd also love to have you play along! Follow the instructions on the CCEE blog so we can see where your creative mind took you!!

Now, my CS really has a deep green tone to it, and I used Frayed Burlap (Ranger Distress Ink), which also has a green tone, but it's hard to see in the photo. But the ribbon...definitely looks green. Albeit not bright. You know I don't work well with brights.. *grin*.

I stamped this Inkadinkado image with Frayed Burlap onto Neenah Natural white cs, and matted it with Birchtone Medium (Prismatics). I then added some Frosted Lace Stickles. For embellishments: organdy ribbon (heated slightly with heat tool to crinkle it a bit), Word Window punch (SU) and brads for the tabs, Corner treatment with two Martha Stewart flower punches and brad, Dew Drops, and finally sewing, a corner rounder punch, dimensional tape, and some ink distressing with more of the Frayed Burlap.

I love doing the CNFS!! It's one of my favorite challenges, because now I get to mail this to her!! Woo-Hoo!! I hope she enjoys this card as much as I did creating it.

Thanks so very much for stopping by!!! Have a FABULOUS week and don't get too harried getting ready for Thanksgiving! *grin*

An Elzybell Christmas Tree

I don't normally do the Limited Supplies Challenge on SCS, only because I'm too chicken to break the rules. This weeks didn't seem too hard to me though. It's titled "Rock, Paper, Scissors", and is hosted by a dear, dear lady...Judy (StampingQueenJAR). Love the title, love the challenge. Click HERE for the rules.

I LOVE Elzybells stamps and rarely get to use them. Well, I ordered some new ones again this year and am determined to use every one. Today, I just inked up the tree with Black Onyx Versafine and stamped it onto Birchtone Medium Prismatic Paper. I highlighted it a bit with my copics and a white gel pen, then cut it out and mounted it onto White Prismatic Paper after sponging Denim Adirondack Dye ink on the bg. I then ink distressed the edges with Frayed Burlap and Brushed Corduroy Ranger Distress Ink. The ornaments have Xmas Red Stickles on them, and the star has some clear ultrafine glitter. The flakes on three of the square panels are from Stampin' Ups Snowflake set. I also added some Bon Bon Sugar Coating Glitter to the snowflake centers, and some piercing with an ornare template on either side of the sentiment panel and along the top. I finished off the card with a few Dew Drops and a gold cord bow.

I hope you all have a blessed weekend!!
Happy Stamping!!

Shaving Cream?

Each Monday a small group of 8 of us SCSers do a challenge that was assigned a month before. This week we were to use the Shaving cream technique. I used SU's Rose Red and Choc. Chip reinkers, on Papertrey white cs, to get the effect of the scallop and my photo corner. The pink is Bazzill and the brown is SU's Choc. Chip. I ink distressed the edges with Ranger Walnut Distress Ink, paper pierced with Tim's Holtz's retractable craft pick, added pink Adornit jewel droplets that I got from Eclectic Paperie, and colored my Elzybell image with copics. Isn't this image sweet? I'm a huge Elzybell's fan!! Huge I tell ya!! Love them.

I made the dots with Souffle Pens and I put coffee ice stickles on the back of the button and glued it on with hot glue. (The button was a gift from Cammie - I used another button....thanks for the inspiration Cam) I also used a corner rounder on the bottom corner.

Supplies:
Stamps - Elzybell's: Daisy Bunch, Daisy Trio, Happy Birthday
Paper - Bazzill, SU Choc. Chip, Papertrey White
Ink - Ranger Black Soot and Walnut Distress Ink
Accessories - Nestabilities, Retractable Craft Pick, Souffle pens (white, pink), Adornit jewels, SU clear button, ribbon, SU mat pack, sponge, Scotch Dimensional tape, Coffee Ice and Grape Ice stickles
