Hello, hello, HELLO!!! This is quite the inspiration filled Friday, let me tell ya!! The Instant Gardeners, as well as some of Bloom Brigade members, are sharing a gorgeous new Power Poppy Digital image called Sunshine of my life!! And it's a beauty!! I also have a second card to share with you using the Power Poppy Digital image Sweet Simple Things. There's a lot of color flowing today.
First, for my Sunshine card, I made the image 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" with only part of the image showing with a sentiment (included with this digital set) I added using Photoshop. If I'm honest, I wish I had moved the sentiment down and to the right a little bit, but until I diecut it, it looked great. I didn't diecut it until after I'd finished coloring, and with the plethora of Copics that I used, I wasn't about to start over. *grin*
I took an easy way out with this card a bit. Jennifer Dove has fabulous "Color of the Day" tags, and since I knew I wanted to use a variety of colors on the vase and flowers, I thought I'd use her already designed combinations. The Vase uses Split Pea Soup, Gopher, Chartreuse, Patina, then Split Pea Soup and Gopher again. The Patina was used on the next stripe too, but it got mostly cut off. I used Transition Red for the two bottom sunflowers and my own color combination for the other three. I also used her Dragon combination for the leaves and stems.
Copics: Bottom Sunflower Petals ~ R59, YR18, YR15, Y02 Bottom Sunflower Centers ~ E79, E57, E35, E33, E31 Top Sunflower Petals ~ Y38, Y19, Y15 Top Sunflower Centers ~ E89, E87, E84, E81, Leaves ~ YG67, YG63, YG03 Vase ~ YG95, YG93, YR23, E79, E57, E35, E33, E31, YG95, YG93, YG21, BG49, BG15, BG13, BG11
That's it for my first card. For my second, I colored the Digital Image Sweet Simple Things. I adore Bee Skeps and have quite a collection, so of course I had to color this baby up as soon as I had the chance.
Didn't Marcy design the most charming image? Seriously!! I LOVE this, and had a delightful time coloring it. I wanted the Bee Skep to have as much dimension as I could achieve, so I colored each individual layer. The sentiment is from one of the new Clear Stamp sets called Everything's Even Rosier. I love how Marcy scripted the word "hello".
Now, this card also fits this month's creative Power and Spark Challenge designed by our dear, sweet, talented Aussie, Kathy!! She's challenging everyone to "B" Happy and include as many "B" things on your card that you want. On this card I have Bees, a Bee Skep, a Bench, a Banner, Burlap String, and Black dots. I think that about covers it. ;)
Copics: Bee Skep ~ E59, E37, E34, T10, T7, T2 Bench ~ W8, W6, W4, W2 Foxglove ~ YR09, YR04, YR00, RV23 Daisies ~ BV31, Y18, Y08 Leaves and Grass ~ YG99, YG17, YG13, YG11 Background ~ E43, E41, E40
That's it for me today y'all!! I hope you've enjoyed an inspirational hop. If you haven't seen the rest of the Power Poppy creations, here are the links to those with projects to share:

Beautiful cards, Tosh! I like them both, but the first one is my favorite. I love those deep rich colors!
Oh, Tosh, you have a double-header for us today, and WOW! I love them both and really love the rich colors of each one. I have used Jennifer Dove's Color of the Day tags myself and find them so helpful. Your coloring in each is amazing, and I love the dramatic feel to each one and the beautiful layouts! Completely stunning, my friend and a real delight! Big hugs!
Your sunflowers are gorgeous Tosh...you captured the warmth and rustic charm with the corregated paper in the background! Gah! And your sweet little bee skep is so warm and inviting too. Love that touch of burlap string!
You have a 2fer today. hee hee Totally think of his aunt and uncle in Arizona with this card. I love how you colored the vase on this and the background. So awesome Tosh!
Beautiful cards. Your sunflowers are colored beautifully. Love the design.
They are both just beautiful Tosh, love the southwest feel to the first, awesome coloring and love the image and layout to the second card too!
Two gorgeous beauties Tosha. I just love how you colored up the new digis.
Both of these cards have me swooning!
Your sunflower card is SO beautifully colored, it makes me long for Autumn. The colors are so rich and warm. Absolutely lovely!
I adore your bee skep card! *swoon* Awesome coloring on this one, too.
Beautiful cards, Tosh!! I love the up close look of the sunflowers, your coloring is so precisely perfect, and they look awesome on the corrugated cardboard panel! And the bee skep looks so real!! LOVE!!
SWOON!!! I *love* this rustic feel of your sunflowers with the corregated card and the way the image is offset! And the second one is just as beautiful - awesome colouring, great colour palette and love the touch of twine and tag!! You are amazing Tosh!!
