While shopping with my daughter yesterday, I saw some shadowbox type frames and was inspired to make one with Our Daily Bread Designs' Patriotic images. The box is 1/4" deep with the middle striped layer 1/8" above the In God We Trust Image and the God Bless America sentiment. The eagle was stamped with Vintage Sepia (Versafine), and the sentiment was stamped with Tuxedo Black (Memento).The Patriotic Moxie dp was bright red and white stripes, and since I prefered a vintage look, I distressed it by rubbing Old Paper and Tea Dye (Ranger Distress Inks) directly on the paper to age it a bit. As you can see, I made the window with a layer of acetate. I have the hardest time photographing that stuff. *grin*. The corners were made with a Martha Stewart border punch, and I blinged it up a bit with Black Rhinestones (Kaisercraft) and Star Brads (Stampin' Up!). I also trimmed the edge of my box with Night of Navy grosgrain ribbon (SU). That's it.
