So Grateful ~ Power Poppy

Hello, hello, hello!!  I'm back again with another Power Poppy creation.   For today's card,  I hauled out a Fall set, from last year, called So Grateful.  I just love the chair with the pumpkin arrangement on it, and thought it would be fun to color the chair red.  I added some grass with my Copics, as well as a sky, and also a sweet little tag with just the word "grateful" from the sentiment "so grateful".

That's it.  Easy peasy.

For some more inspiration, check out the following Bloom Brigade Blogs:
Thank for dropping by y'all!

Hope you have a fabulous weekend.  We're finally looking at some 70 degree weather after lingering in the 90's lately.  I'm ready for Fall's arrival, that's for sure!!

Happy Stamping!!

Prairie Cheer ~ Power Poppy

Hello friends!!  Power Poppy will be releasing 3 new Clear Stamp sets on Friday the 19th, called Nature and Nurture, and you definitely will want to take a gander at these new images.  Marcy has done it again, and today we're previewing the set called Prairie Cheer.  It has three beautiful images along with 4 uplifting sentiments along with their  floral names.  I used the Coneflower along with it's coordinating name for my card today.

http://powerpoppy.com/ products/prairie-cheer

I've been stepping out of my box lately and trying new things.  Some successful, and some, not-so-much.  But at least I'm trying, right?   Today, I started by coloring with my new Zig Clean Color Markers.  (enabled by dear Dina Kowel)  I stamped the image onto Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock with Versafine and heat set it.  I then proceeded to color the image with the Zig markers.  No water pen needed or used.  The colors blend beautifully on their own.  It was quick and easy.  I then cut out the image and adhered it to a tag diecut piece of cardstock.  To add the sentiment, I used my Mini-Misti to get the sentiment placed exactly where I wanted it.  I curved it a little to fit with the stem.

For my other "out-of-the-box" attempt, I used bright colors.  This is very hard for me.  And, I used a lot of patterns...also very hard.    I don't know how I feel about the card itself, but I do know I LOVE this Power Poppy Coneflower as well as the lovely sentiments in this set.  I am looking forward to coloring up the wheat next!!  :)

Zig Markers:  029 Geranium Red, 050 Yellow, 028 Pale Pink, 048 Emerald Green, 045 Pale Green, 053 Yellow Green, 063 Ochre

That's it for me today.  Stop by for another preview Power Poppy's newest sets due to be released on the 19th

Waltzingmouse March Pajama Party

Wow, it's been so long since I posted I was worried I wouldn't remember how.  I was in New Zealand and Melbourne, Australia for 2 weeks and when I got home, we had sad news that our 10 1/2 year old Shih Tzu, named Bear, had passed away from an aneurism while we were gone, and then my husband and I got super sick. (We think it might have been food poisoning.)  I'm just now getting some of my energy back and trying to get things as back to normal as possible.  We miss our little guy something awful, and the house is pretty lonely.

Anyway...on to some fun stuff.  The Waltzingmouse Pajama Party is still going on for a couple more hours, so there's still time to join in.  Check it out HERE.  There are prizes to be won.

I was gone for this newest release, so I was excited to play with the new stamp set Gift Card It and new Gift Card It dies.

My project is super easy, but makes for a warm-fuzzy feeling for the recipient.  The DT has made some super creative projects with this set.  I hope you check out the samples.

I will share some pics of my trip real soon.  I took a gazillion, and have to go through them all yet and pick my favorites to share.

Thanks for dropping by.
I promise not to be so absent anymore...there's some more fun stuff coming in the future that I'm looking forward to sharing!!
Happy Stamping!

Flourishes Gambler's Sale ~ 40% off

All of you folks looking for a bargain? We've got one at Flourishes! This week, prices are dropping again in our six-week Gambler's Sale. Starting now, all prices STOREWIDE are 40% off! With prices this low, your favorite sets won't be on our store shelves for long! In fact, many are already gone for good!

Why is this sale a gamble? Well, ALL of the items now in the store will be going, going, gone -- never to return again. So, if you see something you really want -- buy it now or take a gamble to see how low the price will go! Like we said, this week everything is 40% off with the code GAMBLERS40. Just use that code in the coupon box at the time of check out to get 40% off your entire order, even on already reduced sale prices! Each Monday, between now and February 24th, we'll be adding another 10% off!
For today's project, I combined to darling Flourishes sets:  That's a Wrap and Berry Sweet Frames
I thought it would be cute to add the bow, from That's a Wrap, to a Valentines box...just to personalize it a bit.  I stamped the bow three times onto Head Over Heels (EP) designer paper, cut them out and layered them; after burnishing them to give them a more 3-D look.  I stamped the sentiment "Sweet Treats", from the Berry Sweet Frames set, onto the little tag, adhered it to the box, and voila...a decorated Valentine box.  Easy yet personal.
That's it for my project, now while you're shopping -- don't forget about our MYSTERY BAGS! Each bag is valued at roughly $40 but... you pay only $25 (before the discount)!!! Each bag has two stamp sets -- YES TWO! One is an unpackaged set that we cannot sell because it doesn't have an index sheet. But, it stamps perfectly and would love a new home! Each bag also has a fun tutorial sheet showcasing a card or technique, a few yards of ribbon and an embellishment. What a bargain! Click HERE to visit the store and pick one up today! Before you go -- be sure to hop on over and see what the Flourishes Design Team created to kick off your week!

Most if not all of the sets that they used are still there for the taking -- so hop on over and be creatively inspired!
                              Tosha Leyendekker ---you are here

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget the code GAMBLERS40 for 40% off store wide! See you back here soon!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I have a CCEE challenge card to share with you today, and since it's St. Patrick's Day, we've been challenged to include green on a critter or person. Well, I chose to make my critter a green butterfly that I made with a Martha Stewart punch.

I used this week's Mojo 182 sketch as my inspiration. The sentiment is a Plain Jane verse Psalm 3:3 by Verve, and the flower was made with the Spellbinders Sunflower Set.

Here's a close up of the butterfly and flower.

I have another card to share with you today also. You see, it's my husband's 50th birthday today, so of course I had to make him a special card. Everything on this card came from the Echo Park kit "For the Record". Notice the green celebrate and button? It is St. Patrick's Day after all. :)

Stamps: Psalm 3:3 (Verve)
Paper: Vintage Cream (PTI), Stella Rose Mabel (MME)
Ink: Onyx Black (Versafine), Black Soot, Vintage Photo (Ranger Distress)
Accessories: Sunflower Set (Spellbinders), Quickie Glue Pen, Glitter, Seam Binding Ribbon, Button (PTI), Rhinestones (Kaisercraft)

Stamps: None
Paper: Black and White (PTI), For the Record (Echo Park)
Ink: None
Accessories: Echo Park Stickers, Black Burlap String (May Arts), Button (PTI)

That's it for today ya'll!! Thanks for dropping by. Be sure to stop by the CCEE Stamper's Blog to see their green critters!!

Happy Stamping!!
