Power Poppy turns 1!!

It's Power Poppy's first birthday, and I couldn't be more excited to celebrate. I've had the honor of designing for a few different stamp companies over the years, and I have to say, Power Poppy is one of my favorites.

First of all, Marcella is a delightful person full of life, joy, warmth and encouragement, and she has a passion for uplifting others through creativity, nature, and her gift of writing. Now who wouldn't want to surround themselves with people like that. And this entire team is a good representation of everything she embodies.

Secondly, her designs exude the afore mentioned characteristics, along with being unique and filled with details that are a delight to discover, color and incorporate into projects. Like many of her fans, I eagerly anticipate her newest creations each month.

Now, there is another super talented angel who keeps the Bloom Brigade informed, organized and pumped up for each new release too. That is the one and only Julie Koerber. She is another gem amongst this treasure chest of jewels. I truly believe she is one of the reasons our team works so well together. Not only am I blessed to be able to design along side this phenomenally creative team, I am honored to be able to call them friends.

Congrats Marcy on your First Birthday! It's been a fantastic first year, and I wish you many more with an abundance of success and joy-filled adventures!!

Okay...now a short blurb about my card.  I used the sweet little Potted Primrose from the appropriately named set Potted Primrose, along with one of it's sweet little sentiments.  I colored it with copics and popped it up in a diecut window frame from Cottage Cutz.

Here is a list of the Copics I used:  FV2, BV11, Y02, YG17, YG13, YG11, E15, E13, E09

Power Poppy August Release Previews ~ Day 1

http://powerpoppy.com/products/farmers-market
Hello friends!!  I hope you are having a fantastic weekend!!  I have been having a fabulous time coloring some more Power Poppy images, and I can't wait to share them with you.  Can you believe it's time for another release?  Is August really around the corner?  Where does time go?

I know I must sound like a broken record, but I truly wait on "pins-and-needles" for each of Marcy's releases.  I impatiently look forward to seeing what that creative, artistic brain of hers comes up with next.  Well, like all the others, this release is full of beauty and charm.

Today we are featuring the sweetest, set called Farmer's Market.  It has the most scrumptious images and darling fonted sentiments!!  I chose to use the basket full of Cauliflower and create a scene with it using dies and Distress Inks.  Cauliflower can be purple, green, white, or ivory these days, so I colored mine with a variety of colors.  I colored the sign to look like a chalkboard (since that's been popular for quite some time now), and white embossed the sentiment "Just for you" onto it.  At the top I added a flag with the sentiment "Share what you love", and at the risk of being a little lot corny, added a little bunny to the opposite corner, as if the "just for you sign" and sentiment, were meant him.  *grin*

Here's a close up of the stamped image and sentiments.  Isn't that basket darling?

Now, if you haven't check out the other Bloom Brigade's Blogs, you better hop on over.  Those girls just ooze inspiration!!

Here's a list of the Copics I used:   T7, T5, T4, T2, T0, E59, E39, E37, E35, E31, E41, E40, BV08, BV04, BV02, BV00, G28, G24, G21, YG25, YG23, YG21

Thanks for dropping by.  Be sure to visit tomorrow too.  I can't wait for you to see that project.  I LOVE Fall, and tomorrow's project feels all cozy to me.

     Happy Stamping!

Flourishes Free for all Friday

Hello and welcome to Friday!  Today the Flourishes Senior Design Team is pulling out some of our sets that are on the overstock or retiring list and giving them a new spin! We always love when we can do that, because it makes you fall in love with those sets all over again
I'm excited to share the card I made using the All that Glitters set, along with a sentiment from this month's release Winter Berries.    Unfortunately, today is proof that the retired sets are going fast.  By the time I went to link the All that Glitters stamp set in my post, it was gone.  Flourishes does have a another ornament set though called Holiday Sparkle.

I used the clip-on bird because I decorate my tree with ones that are almost exactly the same.  And mine are red, so naturally I colored my bird red and added some glitter to it, along with the pine boughs, with a Quickie Glue pen and some Ultra Fine Prisma glitter.

The beautiful paper I used, is So This is Christmas by Carta Bella. and the mats are from the Color Made Easy Pistachio Paper Collection.  I also used a couple of Flourishes dies:  Perfectly Pierced Classic Frames Template, and Classic Window Template, along with a tree from Cottage Cutz's Rustic Sign and Trees die set.  I inked up the background using Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters Ranger Distress Inks, and punched a border using a EK Success punch.  Lastly I added a couple of Sequins (Teresa Collins) to the upper right corner for a little more bling.

Here are the links to the Copics I used:

Now we invite you to take a trip on over to the rest of the Design Team to see what they have up their creative sleeves today:

Please be sure to give some extra love for our lovely Designer Maki Jones…Maki is taking a break from the design team and we’ll miss her very much while she’s gone! She’s such a talented lady who has treated us to some amazing and creative designs these last few years on the Timeless Tuesday Team and the Senior Design Team. We send big hugs out to Maki!

Waltzingmouse October Release Hop ~ Day 3

Click HERE for today's Verve post.

Welcome to Day 3 of the Waltzingmouse Release Hops.  Be sure and start with Claire's blog.  She'll have a list of all the hoppers too.  And don't forget you have an opportunity to win a stamp set of your choice.  All you have to do is leave comments on the blogs participating in the hop.  A random commenter will be picked and announced on Claire's blog Nov. 6.  You have until 6:59 am Eastern Time, Nov. 4th to comment.

2 sets and a background are being featured today:  Half Pint Heroes Additions, Sheriff, and Cabin Plaid.  I used the Half Pint Heroes for the outside, and the Sheriff badge on the inside.  I thought it would be fun to create a little indoor scene with this charming young man, so I paper pieced him using Cowboy Up! dp by Best Creation Inc.  The window and tree are Cottage Cutz dies, and the string of lights is from Cheery Lynn Designs.  I also used some white Liquid Applique on the evergreen.

For the inside, I stamped the Badge with Onyx Black Versafine, ink distressed it using Walnut Stain (Ranger Distress Ink), and added the sentiment "and he could do anything".  I don't have any young children, grandchildren or young nephews, so this card is going to a young boy in the hospital.  I thought it would be nice for him to receive an encouraging card over Christmas with a Sheriff's badge and toys.  I love how Claire's images work so well for all seasons and situations.

Here's the Hop List so you're sure not to miss a spot.

Thanks once again for stopping by.  I'm honored that you visit!
Happy Stamping!!

Spooky....

Hello everyone!! I have a super fun card to share with you today. I am having the most fun using some new dies that I recently purchased from a company called Cottage Cutz. They are full of different pieces that are just a blast to put together and create a fun scene. I used them on this card HERE for the first time, and now I made a Spooky Halloween card combining the dies with images from one of my all time favorite stamp companies, Waltzingmouse Stamps. Claire has a fantastic array of Halloween images and I thought images from the Midnight Feast set would work perfectly with these fun diecuts. I used the witch, some bats, and the wonderfully fonted "Happy Halloween" sentiment. The background was all created using Ranger Distress Ink.

I used a Sizzix embossing folder to get the raised texture on the birdhouse. Isn't a spooky birdhouse fun?

That's it for today. Thank you so much for visiting!!
Happy Stamping!! :)
