Play Ball with Power Poppy

Hello my creative friends!!!  I have a patriotic, sporty, Power Poppy Birthday card to share with y'all today!  Julie, appropriately so, chose red/white/blue colors for the Hues to Use challenge this week, and I thought, a baseball card would fit perfectly with those colors since, in my humble opinion, baseball is America's sport.    I know some may disagree, but that's how I feel ;)  Mainly because I love baseball.

I took Power Poppy's Play Ball stamp set and stamped the equipment collage five times just so I could color and cut out the top baseball bat and one of the balls for my grouping.

For the fence, I just took Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and ran it lightly over white cardstock until I achieved the look I was going for.  I then cut it into strips, trimmed off the corners and lined the strips up.

For the inside, I added some scrap pieces of the dp I used on the front, as well as a stamped banner (I stamped the image on red and blue cardstock and adhered the cut blue piece to the red banner.  I also used my Misti to make sure I was able to line up the sentiment perfectly inside.

http://powerpoppy.blogspot.com/Since it's the beginning of the month, there's a new Power and Spark challenge too being hosted by our dear Ally.  She's challenging you to CASE one of the Bloomies.  Click HERE for all the details.

Power Poppy is also having a great sale while Marcella is on Vacation.  All Power Poppy Digis will be 20% off from July 6-14.  So be sure to head on over to the Power Poppy!!

Party Time ~ Power Poppy

http://powerpoppy.com/products/party-timeIt's celebration time my friends!!  The 4th of July is coming soon, so I thought I'd make a celebratory card focusing on that theme with this darling slice of cake from the new Power Poppy Clear Stamp set called Party Time.  Included in this set is a sweet little banner (that I colored "flag style" also), as well as a fabulous variety of sentiments.  I colored the cake slice with Copics, and added some sparkly dots using my Quickie Glue Pen and some Micro Fine Opaque White Glitter (Glitter Ritz).  For the candle flame I used some Prisma Glitter (Hero Arts) for a little extra sparkle.

I also got out my Minc Machine for the silvery border, and lastly I added some Sequin Stars (Pretty Pink Posh), as well as some rhinestones (Pizzazz Aplenty) to add to the shiny celebration.

For some more inspiration, check out the following Bloom Brigaders:
Copics: B37, B24, B21, R39, R37, 432, Y38, Y02, Y00, C3, C00

That sums up my project for today!  But please stop by for an extra little inspiration before shopping tomorrow.  Yep...all the stamp sets will be available for purchase tomorrow!!  Woo-Hoo!!!

Thank you for stopping by and for all your kind encouragement these past few days.  I love stamping and coloring, and when I get the privilege of reading your kind comments, it blesses me and encourages me to keep creating.  Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!

  Happy Stamping!

Waltzingmouse Stamps Pajama Party ~ June

Hello creative friends!! Waltzingmouse Stamps is hosting it's monthly Pajama Party today and I have two cards to share with you for two of the challenges. Click HERE for all the details.

http://waltzingmouse.blogspot.com/I made my first card for the Bedtime Story Sketch.  I stamped the Bitty Banners (Waltzingmouse), with VersaMagic pigment inks, onto white cardstock, cut them out free-hand, and added some enamel dots.

http://waltzingmouse.blogspot.com/

The Congratulations sentiment and frame are from the Fancy Phrases (Waltzingmouse) set.  The Turquoise background was made by just running a strip of white cardstock of the Turquoise Gem (VersaMagic) ink pad.

I made my second card for the Old Pajamas challenge to use the USA 1776 (Waltzingmouse) set.  I created the background using the "kite" stars and stripes images, and made my collage using a variety of images from the set.  The combinations in this set are endless and fun.  7 images were used in the making of this card.

That's it for me today.  I hope you get a chance to participate.  There will be a random draw for credit at the Waltzingmouse store!!  So head on over to Claire's Blog to join in.

Waltzingmouse Stamps May Release Preview ~ Day 2

For my Power Poppy card, click HERE.

It's day two for our Waltzingmouse previews, and today we're showcasing a sweet little Stitched Tag die set.  I decided to make a 4th of July patriotic card, using the largest tag in this set. I tucked it in a little pocket I made on the card base using Spellbinders' A2 Curved Borders One die set.  I then added some sweet little pinwheels to the tag using the WMS set Playful Pinwheels, and the sentiments on the card and tag are from the set USA 1776.

That's it for my project today, but be sure to check out what the other DT members have to share.  We've all made projects featuring different holidays.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow.  We have more dies to share.  ;)
           Happy Stamping!
