Shabby Chic Ranunculus ~ Power Poppy

Hello creative friends!  It's Friday already, and that means it's time for some Power Poppy inspiration.  Cindy challenged everyone, last week, to make something "Shabby Chic".  So of course I knew I'd have to play along.  Although I love working with different styles, I tend to gravitate that direction quite a bit.  I also hadn't had a chance to work the the newest digi release called Ranunculus.  Aren't they exquisite?  I used some rose, coral and yellow hues to give them a vintage feel.  I didn't realize that this similar color palette was used by the super sweet and talented Kathy Jones too.  *sigh*  Subconsciously I guess I was channeling Kathy.  Not a bad artist to channel though...that's for sure.  :)

I colored the image with Copics, distressed all the edges and added a bit of sewing to give it a good vintage feel.

Copics:   Flowers: Rose color ~ R85, R83, R81 Coral color ~ R32, R30 Yellow color ~ Y28, Y23, Y02 Flower center ~ T7, T5, T3, T0, YG07 Leaves: YG95, G85, YG03 Background: W6, W4, W2, W0  I went over the flowers and leaves randomly with E31 to add a warm vintage feel to them.
