Waltzingmouse August Release Previews ~ Day 1

What an exciting week this is!!  Waltzingmouse stamps is releasing 9 sets of delicious stamps!  You won't want to miss one single day of previews.  Today we're featuring 3 of those sets:  Tying the Knot, Safe Harbor Sentiments and Ocean Bound.

I framed a Safe Harbor Sentiment using a Labels 28 die (Spellbinders) and some ink distressing with Iced Spruce (Ranger Distress Ink).  I added a sweet little anchor (Studio Calico) to the sentiment and a duo of rhinestones  (Pizzazz Aplenty) to one of the angled panels.  The dp is Renew (Authentique).

I went CAS for my second card.  I love the sweet heart-shaped knot from the Tying the knot set and thought it would look cute with just a sentiment added.

For my third card I created my own backgrounds with images from the Ocean Bound set.  The rope stripes were created using Night Sky and Sea Breeze Inks (VersaMagic), and the rope circle and anchor were embossed with White ep.  The sentiment along the side was also embossed, only using Black ep.  Lastly, I tied a sailors know with some red string (Olive Manna).

That's it for me today.  I had one more card made with these sets, but I decided to save it for the last day.  I tell ya, Claire's sets are so inspirational, the ideas just keep flowing.  I'm including a list of the DT sharing previews today in case you've missed a stop.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ! Before you go, please stop by Claire's blog for some important information about the store's email notifications.  During their recent upgrade, they lost the facility for people to sign up for email notifications.  These include special sales and upcoming events and competitions.  So be sure to head on over to the Waltzingmouse blog to make sure you're either still on the list, or need to re-add your email address.
