Waltzingmouse August Release ~ Day 3

Click HERE for the Anni~VERVE~sary day 8 post.

Wow!! I don't think I've ever posted as much as I have in the past week-and-a-half. Not only every day, but even doubling up on some days. I hope you have been enjoying seeing some of the new stamps being released. I'm in serious love with these Waltzingmouse sets!!

Today I have two cards to share with you using new Waltzingmouse images from the sets: Bright Season, Opera Tags, Little Lanterns and Light of the World. My first card also includes a sentiment from the Christmas set Seasons of Love.

I started by stamping the holly leaves with Hint of Pesto (Veramagic) Chalk ink, and added the berries with some Pearlescent Poppy Brilliance pigment ink. I then stamped the lantern, Candle, flame and glowing image. The little tag was made using the Opera Tags set along with the new Waltzingmouse Die set called Opera Tags, and the lantern was stamped twice and popped up to give it dimension.

For my second card I wanted to make it one layer. So I used a reverse mask using the Wonky Rectangle die (Spellbinders) and some Tumbled Glass Ranger Distress Ink. I then stamped the images, from the sets Bright Season and Light of the World sets, over the rectangle. There are 9 images in total, making this a fabulously fun versatile set.

That's it for me today. The release is tomorrow and I have another card to share using a super fun lantern that I used in a rustic scene. I hope you'll stop by for a visit.

In case you missed a stop along the way, here's a list of the rest of the WMS dt participating today. Be sure to check out how they've used the lanterns today. They're all so inspirational, so you won't want to miss a one!! :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

GF, your cards are beautiful. I especially like the lantern and how you stamped your holly at the top.

SOOOO lovely, Tosh! I braved a one layer wonder, too...but I like yours better :)!! The scroll die cut on the first card is PERFECT with the image...and the little garland FAB! That is some amazing fussy cutting ...did you even cut into the little teeny tiny "glass" area? Ack, AMAZING! Perfect embellishing, too...the bow with the tag makes me swoon!

Stunning cards, both of them. I love how you've created a Christmas card with the lantens and the black card just pops everything. Great design and colours on your second card too.

Absolutely fabulous work - I love the rich warmth of your first card. But my favourite is the OL card with that fabulous sentiment!

Tosh these are gorgeous! Love how you used the die to create a background for your stamping. I was making a card last night and this is just what I need to make the idea I had work - thanks!!!!!

2 very beautiful cards. Black on the first is really elegant. Love it. The one-layer card is simply gorgeous. Can't wait to get my hands on those stamps!
