It's Day 2 of Waltzingmouse's July Release, and the Design Team is featuring a super cool Summer set called North Shore. I went all CAS (Clean and Simple) with this release because I was having so much fun with distress colors for my backgrounds.
For my first card, I just inked Vintage Cream (PTI) cs with Ranger Distress Colors in this order: Squeezed Lemonade, Rusty Hinge, and Festive Berries. I then stamped the image with Versamark and embossed with Black Embossing powder. So easy, and striking!! It's framed with the Postage Stamps die by Spellbinders.
For my second card, I used a paper mask and inked the background with the following Ranger Distress Colors: Frayed Burlap, Peacock Feathers, Broken China, Faded Jeans, Squeezed Lemonade and Walnut Stain. The sentiment "Find your Wave" is from the North Shore set, and the surf board is from the Free Spirit Waltzingmouse set.
That's it for today.
Here's a list of the WMS DT that's participating today, just in case you might have missed one.

Both lovely cards - but the second one is just stunning! So clever how you have inked around the surf board so that it looks like it's really stuck in the sand!

Seriously wonderful! I love the simplicity of your first card - the bold colors just pop, but your second one with the little surfing scene is so fabulous! Completely inspiring, Tosh!!
Your first card is like a hot summer day with those wonderful colors Tosh! and then we have a cool sunset with the 2nd - love how the board looks stuck in the sand and your wonderful sponging! Love them both!!
I am so in awe right now with that surfboard card! I love the depth and how it looks tucked in the sand. Love your sunset on a postage stamp die cut...how awesome is that? Perfect for a vacation themed card! These both have some seriously inspiring sponging, Tosh! :) I just love your style, whether CAS or fancy, you can do it ALL!
Awesome!!! Your postage stamp card is brilliant - love the simplicity of the design and the bold colours. The little surfboard card is just fab! Great colouring!
These are both brilliant creations. Your rich colors really pop that image off the page, and I'm dying to know the shading technique you did to make that surfboard look like you stuck it in the sand. That's incredible! Both are wonderfully creative.
Thi simage is fantastic stamped in black on a bright background - love it.
Oh wow Tosh!!! These are both fantastic! I love the postage stamp die as the card shape on the first, but the scene you created on the second is sooo fantastic!!! Awesome!!! Have a great weekend!!!
hugs,
Grace

Oh my goodness, your second card just struck me, literally my jaw dropped. What a gorgeous card!! You should frame it and use it as home decor! And the ink blending on the first card is perfection. Wonderful!
The colors say it all! It is summer and summer means HOT. It is beautiful and looks like a professional logo for a surfboard company!
