For Ali...

I made this card for a sweet young lady who is having a biopsy done Thursday on a tumor in her brain. She's such a little angel, I thought she'd like this sweet little image called Lily (Stampavie). The image is colored with copics, and the wings are vellum coated with Sparkly Fluff from Our Craft Lounge. It will be available in Michelle's store Stamper's Dream really soon. It's like fun flock, but it has a fun sparkle to it. Beautiful!!

The flowers are velvet brads by Making Memories, and the ribbon is Doodlebug. I added some Kaisercraft rhinestone stickers to the flower centers too.

Finally, the paper is from g.c.d. studios.

My daughter wanted to make a card for Ali too. This is what she came up with.
Now, she has a completely different style than I do. I kept asking her if she wanted to add certain things, and she said..."No, I like my cards clean and crisp." I have no idea where in the world she came up with those words, cause they're never mentioned in MY stamproom. That is one huge struggle of mine...clean and crisp. I actually have to hold myself back from adding embellishments.

I did, however, convince her that her card needed ink distressing...*grin* I mean...after all, the dp already had some on it, so of course the rest needed it too....right? She did it all by herself too...even though she was afraid she'd mess everything up.

The giraffe image is from Imaginisce, and the paper is Archaic (Basicgrey). The circle charm is from Michaels.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you're having a fabulous week!!

Your card for Ali is just as sweet as can be, Tosh!! Such a precious image, and pretty papers!!

Your daughter's card is wonderful as well, and I think it's great how she has a different "style". She did a great job with the distressing, and I love her layout and hardware choice!

So, so sweet...both of them! Your daughter did a beautiful job!

Now YOU know that I KNOW you added the vellum because you were thinking of Laurie! LOL! She tries to make you use vellum all the time, and you always resist! :-)

I will be thinking of you all...and praying. Let me hear from you when you can.

Well, no fear of your daughter messing up - it's such a great card with wonderful colour matching. If I could do crisp and clean like that I'd be happy. And faith seems like the perfect sentiment to put on it. And your pink fairy card is sweet not. Never was a pink gal myself, but I know that most girls love it :D.

I'm sure Ali will feel the caring that is sent with these two cards.

And you had better make more space in your crafting room...it would appear that you have some stiff competition from your daughter, in the creative department!
