Waltzingmouse August Release ~ Day 4

Waltzingmouse Release day has finally arrived!! And I'm so excited!! Claire has designed some fabulous sets filled with so many images and fonts, one could stamp for days and not make the same card twice. :) If you've arrived here from Anya's inspirational blog, you're on the right track. If not, stop by Claire's blog for a list of all the dt members who are hopping today.

I saved my favorite card for last. I ADORE the new Lantern sets, and this Little Lantern felt so rustic to me that I thought I'd create an outdoor scene with it. We're avid campers and my son just moved out of state, so I thought this sentiment, from the Light of the World Sentiments set, paired with the rustic Little Lantern, would be perfect to remind him that he's always welcome back home.

To get the patina look on the lantern, I used the "rock~n~roll" technique. I stamped the image with Toffee Crunch Memento ink first, and followed with some "rocking and rolling" in Teal Zeal Memento ink. That's it, and I love the worn look.

I used a huge variety of inks for the background that will be listed at the bottom.

Can you see a mountain silhouette in the background? (I know I covered a lot of it with the trees.) I used the silhouette from the Way Out West set, and then used some torn copy paper for the bottom.

The trees, post and rabbit are from a diecut set called Rustic Sign & Trees by Cottage Cutz.

That's it for today's card. I hope you've enjoyed the sneak peeks and have been a little bit enabled. ;) I know I can't resist Waltzingmouse stamps!!

For some more enabling, head on over to the super sweet and talented Becca!!

Ann~-VERVE~sary Spotlight Hop - Day 9

It's finally here!! Verve Release Day has finally arrived. Did you make a list of sets and dies to purchase? Did you participate in some or all of the challenges to increase your chances of winning some Verve? I hope you've answered "yes" to all of the above!! We'll be revealing all the new sets and announcing winners over at the Verve Forum from 9-11 pm Eastern Standard Time.

But before the party gets started, we have one more set to peek. Today we're featuring the set Treasured Words. And it is filled with beautifully fonted sentiments (no surprise there), a frame image that works with the Rounded Rectangle Die, as well as a darling party hat and baby buggy.

I combined the frame with the "congrats" sentiment and included the Pennant Trim die as well as the Thatched Banner and the Banner Die it goes with. I finished off the card with a few stars (Spellbinders die), twine and Pearl Pen dots on the banner.

Keeping things short so you can continue the hop a bit faster. Thanks so much for visiting each day. I hope you've found some inspiration along the way and maybe have been enabled a bit. ;)

Ann~-VERVE~sary Spotlight Hop - Day 8

Click HERE for my Waltzingmouse Sneak Peek ~ Day 3

It's day 8 of the Spotlight hops and the release is just around the corner!! Woot!! Don't forget to stop by the Verve Forum tomorrow evening for some fun chats and the announcement of the winners. Today we're featuring a fabulously fun set called Borderline, along with a variety of dies: Mini Classy Label die, Mini Vintage Oval die, and the Mini Bookplate die.

I thought it would be fun to use some Pearl Ex powders on black cardstock with this fabulous arrow design. I just stamped the arrow strip vertically using Versamark, and with a paint brush, added some Pearl Ex powder. I then sprayed aerosol hairspray over it to set it. So easy and fun!! Lastly I added a sentiment framed with the Mini Classy Label die, along with some black twine. Clean and simple.

That's it for today. Tomorrow is the last day to hop and to participate in the challenges to win some Verve. So don't delay!!

Waltzingmouse August Release ~ Day 3

Wow!! I don't think I've ever posted as much as I have in the past week-and-a-half. Not only every day, but even doubling up on some days. I hope you have been enjoying seeing some of the new stamps being released. I'm in serious love with these Waltzingmouse sets!!

Today I have two cards to share with you using new Waltzingmouse images from the sets: Bright Season, Opera Tags, Little Lanterns and Light of the World. My first card also includes a sentiment from the Christmas set Seasons of Love.

I started by stamping the holly leaves with Hint of Pesto (Veramagic) Chalk ink, and added the berries with some Pearlescent Poppy Brilliance pigment ink. I then stamped the lantern, Candle, flame and glowing image. The little tag was made using the Opera Tags set along with the new Waltzingmouse Die set called Opera Tags, and the lantern was stamped twice and popped up to give it dimension.

For my second card I wanted to make it one layer. So I used a reverse mask using the Wonky Rectangle die (Spellbinders) and some Tumbled Glass Ranger Distress Ink. I then stamped the images, from the sets Bright Season and Light of the World sets, over the rectangle. There are 9 images in total, making this a fabulously fun versatile set.

That's it for me today. The release is tomorrow and I have another card to share using a super fun lantern that I used in a rustic scene. I hope you'll stop by for a visit.

In case you missed a stop along the way, here's a list of the rest of the WMS dt participating today. Be sure to check out how they've used the lanterns today. They're all so inspirational, so you won't want to miss a one!! :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

Ann~-VERVE~sary Spotlight Hop - Day 7

Click HERE for my Waltzingmouse Sneak Peek ~ Day 2

It's Day 7 of our Spotlight hops, and we have a charming set, to share with you today, called Learning to Sail. Once again we've picked a mystery blog from today's hop and hidden a prize! So be sure to give a little shout out in the comment section as you hop around to each blog on the list. We’ll draw a random winner from all of the comments on the mystery blog to win today's featured sets and dies. There are quite a few ways to win some fabulous Verve sets, so check out the Verve Blog for all the prize details and deadlines.

I used the darling little sailboat, along with the wave, sun and sweet little sentiment "Life is but a dream". The image was all paper pieced, and I diecut two sizes of circles making sure the dry embossing was deeply etched. I then embossed it all with silver and added some Silver Viva Decor gel dots to make it look like a porthole.

Next up on the hop is Amber.

Waltzingmouse August Release ~ Day 2

Click HERE for the Anni~VERVE~sary day 7 post.

Wasn't yesterday's hop fun? I always get so excited when Claire has new releases because they're so inspirational to me. Well, today is no different, let me tell ya!! She has a fantastic set of Opera Tags that have dies to match, and this beautiful...and I mean b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l set of Camellia images and sentiments.

I decided to layer one of the Camellias onto one of the Opera Tags. The flower was colored with Copics and is 4 layers. I added a bit of sparkle to the tag and flower too just for a little extra "umph". The "Hope" sentiment is from the Seed Packet set that was peeked yesterday.

That's it for my card today. Next head on over to Claire's blog for the last stop.

I used one of the sentiments from the set Stronger Love today. As usual, Julee has created yet another set with fabulous quotes in beautiful fonts!! They are so much fun!! The heart is paper pieced, and I added a couple of diecut gears to masculinize it a bit. The rest is pretty self explanatory. (Keepin' it simple so you can hop faster... ;)

Waltzingmouse August Release ~ Day 1

Click HERE to see the Anni~VERVE~sary Day 6 post.

Today has finally arrived!! The Waltzingmouse Sneak Peek Hops are finally here!! I'm so excited to get you excited for this new release of fabulous stamp sets!! Today we're featuring 4 different sets that all work beautifully together. And oh my are these sets full of wonderful images, and sentiments!! The combination possibilities are just staggering!! I'm peeking two projects using two sets: Seed Packet and Seed Flowers today.

This first card actually includes 6 images. That's what I meant about the combinations. You can make each card unique unto itself. Which I just LOVE because I hate making the same card twice. I rarely...and I mean rarely make a duplicate of any card.

Click on the photos for a more detailed view.

Next I have a sweet little gift set to share with you using a charming little Eco-Friendly Mini Tote bag from Pouchmart. I added some fun ribbon (Melissa Frances), along with some Dangling Chandeliers (Maya Road) and a darling tag using the Seed Packet set and a Spellbinders' Fancy Tag Two die. I used the same die to add a little frame to the seed packet image on my card also.
I colored the Hyacinths with copics and added some Stardust Stickles to them. I also added a sparkly frame to the seeds and frame using my trusty Quickie Glue Pen and some Crystal Glitter. The background panel was dry embossed first, and then I used Versamark and some Iridescent Ice ep to the raised portions to make it cohesive with my main panel.

Here's the bag by itself. It's 5" x 5 1/2". Perfect for a sweet little gift.

Here's a close-up of the tag. I used 5 different images on it. I think that's just super fun because it can be customized for whoever you are giving it to!!

Here's a list of all the DT members who are hopping today. Be sure to stop by each one because there is a huge variety of images being used, and you won't want to miss a one!! :)

Thanks for stopping by!!
Happy Stamping!

I made a potted floral bouquet using the flowers from the set Brighter Days, the leaves from Verve's Dream Big set, and the sentiment from the With Love set. For the flowers I used the new Scalloped Flower die and colored them with Copics. The Dreamy leaves die was used for the leaves. For the sentiment, I used a framing image and die that will be peeked tomorrow....shhhhhh...it just fit so perfectly in my little pot of flowers. ;)

The flowerpot is a Spellbinders diecut that I first dry embossed with a cuttlebug folder, then embossed it with white embossing powder to give it that enamel look.

You can hardly see it, but I used one more die along the bottom border that will be peeked in two days. I'm really breaking the rules today. yikes!!

Ann~-VERVE~sary Spotlight Hop - Day 4

Hi Verve fans! Are you ready to do some more hopping? It's Day 4 of our Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops and the Divas and Guests are back with more Vervey goodness to tempt you with! So let your fingers do the clicking and peek into the creative minds of Verve's talented Divas and Guest Divas as they give you a little tour of what's releasing from Verve on August 24!

Just like yesterday we've picked a mystery blog from today's hop and hidden a prize! So be sure to give each Diva a little shout out in the comment sections as you hop around the list below. We’ll draw a random winner from all of the comments on the mystery blog to win today's featured set: Wonderfully Made and Praying For You Plain Jane.

I decided to make a tag using the Wonderfully Made set as well as the Pointed Flower die set that was featured on Friday. I just diecut 3 of the large and 2 of the small flowers, snipped every other indent and curled the edges, of the organza flower, by holding it gently over a small flame.

The sentiment was stamped on some scrap packaging that had an interesting texture, and the sweet little banner was made using the Pennant Trim die on some canvas. I also diecut some hearts using the From the Heart die set.

I hope you've been enjoying the hops these last few days. Be sure to visit the Verve Blog for all the details about how you can win some Verve!! Julee has some wonderfully fun ways to participate!!

Ann~-VERVE~sary Spotlight Hop - Day 3

It's day three of our Anni-VERVE-sary spotlight hops, and we are featuring Doodled Occasions. In case you haven't heard... ;)... we're celebrating Verve's 5 year anniversary, so there are lots of prizes to win, and a variety of ways to win them. So click HERE for all the details.

For my little trio today (2 1/2" x 3 1/2"), I thought it would be fun to make itty-bitty chalkboards. So I embossed the images onto black cardstock with white embossing powder and colored them with color pencils.

I love making these mini-cards for that little extra something attached to a gift, or tucked in a backpack or suitcase for one of my kids.

Aren't these images just fun and whimsical?

Hope you're enjoying the Spotlight hops. Tomorrow I have a tag to share with you. The stamp set being peeked is one of my faves of this release, and the project is close to my heart too.

Happy Stamping my friends!!
