Faith and Hope Verve Project Parade

There's been a project parade going on over at the Verve blog, and I'm bringin' up the rear. I hope you've enjoyed reading about the thought process that each Diva goes through while creating. It was encouraging to me to know that there is a bit of trial and error with some of the gals, cause that's how I work. I admit, when I found out about the "Divine Detail" theme for this month, I thought it was creative and clever, but at the same time it worried me. I have a hard enough time not getting lost in my own thought process. How do I explain it so I don't lose ya'll!! Yikes!!

To read about my thought process, head on over to the Verve blog.
I used two of their recent releases: Kindred Spirits and the Plain Jane Hebrews 11:1.

Thanks for stopping by!

If you haven't seen what the other girls have come up with for this parade, you really must stop by the Verve Blog. You won't be disappointed.

A CCEE Supply Challenge

Is it the beginning of a new week already? Yikes how time is flying!! Well, as a new week begins, I have another CCEE challenge card to share with you. Dawn sent us supplies to use this week. Included was this beautiful dp by Heidi Grace, and a Basic grey brad. Where's the brad you say? Well, I couldn't make it work on the outside, so I included it on the inside of my card shown below.

First, to explain the outside. I used one of the new JustRite 2 1/4" x 3 1/16" Oval images from the Thinking of You set. I stamped it with two colors: Espresso (Ranger Adirondack Dye Ink), and Pink Passion (SU!). I colored over part of the Pink Passion stamped piece with Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip (SU!). They're matted with Birchtone Dark, along with Crabapple Medium and Light (Prismatics). Behind the image, I used one of my new Spellbinders Pendants, Fluer de lis that I got from Stamper's Dream. Isn't it gorgeous!! Love this pendant. I also punched the corners with a Fiskars Corner punch, and added some Mini Multicolored Rhinestones (Zva Creative) to the centers of the flowers.

For the inside, I used the new Spellbinders Fluer de lis Borderabilites shape and added the Spellbinders Sunflower Set Flower and the required brad Dawn supplied. All the edges are ink distressed with Frayed Burlap (Ranger Distress Ink).

Finally, I added Pink Satin Ribbon (May Arts)

You won't want to miss seeing what the other girls have come up with!! Head on over the CCEE Stamper's Blog.

Check this out!!!
Michelle, at Stamper's Dream, just got some new Holiday Impression Obsession images in, as well as some new Martha Stewart Punches and Inkadinkado's newest releases. Dare to Get Dirty on Splitcoast

The Splitcoast Dirty Dozen and the Alumni are hosting Dare To Get Dirty Challenge 09. It started yesterday, the 23rd, and it goes through the 26th. Each day there will be a number of challenges hosted by either a current Dirty Dozen member, or an alum. To participate, or see what the challenges are, you must be a fan club member. If you are not, you can sign up HERE. Otherwise, head on over HERE to see how you can play along.

Kim Teasdale is hosting a paper tole challenge, and I was fortunate to be asked to make a sample for her challenge. I thought this Square Medallion Ornament by Holly Berry House would be fabulous Paper Toled. All I did was stamp it 6 times with Versamark onto Neenah Natural White, and embossed it with Detailed Gold ep (SU!) I then cut out the pieces I wanted paper toled. After all the pieces were cut out, I ran them through my Cuttlebug with the Textile embossing folder. I did that after I cut my pieces out because the embossing makes the paper weaker, and it tears easier when making detailed cuts.

The ornament looks the same on the front and the back. I attached the cross charm in between the two dimensional pieces. Finally, I added a silver wired ribbon for hanging.

That sums up my project. Be sure to check out the galleries on Splitcoast.

Thanks for stopping by!!
Happy Stamping!!

Enjoy the moment

As JustRite week continues at Stamper's Dream, I have another project to share with you. This was a bugger to photograph, but if you click on the card, you're able to see the sentiment and bg much better.

I love the Monogram Stampers and have used them many times. But I also thought the 1 3/16" Damask Borders (Just Rite) would make a great background. I embossed them with white ep onto Sweet Blush PTI cardstock. I then used the floral image and Enjoy the Moment Circle frame, from the Friendship Borders and Centers set (JustRite), as a topper. The sentiment is white embossed, and the flowers were stamped with Smokey Gray (Versafine) and colored with copics. I then framed the image with the largest Blossom Nestabilities Shape.

Lastly, I added a bit of Glitter, some Soft Pink Rhinestones (Kaisercraft), Ribbon (PTI and Offray), and a button (PTI). The corners were punched with an allDecco corner punch, and the border is EK Success.

That does it for my card, but there's plenty more to see. Check out what some of the other Dream Team members have come up with. Here's the schedule:

Monday - Amy , Cammie, and Michelle

Tuesday - Charmaine , Laurie, Michelle and Me

Wednesday - Laurie, Michelle, Cammie and me

Thursday - Amy , Denise , Laurie , Cammie and Michelle

Friday - Cammie , Charmaine , Kimberly and Michelle

Thanks for stopping by!!
Hope your week is fantastic!!

A Sizzlin' Party!!

It's JustRite week at Stamper's Dream!! Michelle has all the fabulous new JustRite images in her store, and the Dream Team has some fantastic projects to share with you.

Here's our schedule:

Monday - Amy , Cammie, and Michelle

Tuesday - Charmaine , Laurie, Michelle and Me

Wednesday - Laurie, Michelle and me

Thursday - Amy , Denise , Laurie , Cammie and Michelle

Friday - Cammie , Charmaine , Kimberly and Michelle

Now, about my card. It's an Sizzlin' invitation, and it was so much fun and easy to make. I used all Nestabilities shapes and the Salsa medallion from the Preserves Borders and Centers Set. (JustRite) I used the largest oval for the bowl, and the largest Octagon for the chips. I just cut across from one point to the other to get the exact shape for all the chips.

The Salsa medallion, of course, was made with the circles. Easy as pie. All the dp is from Memory Box's Fernbrae, and the chips were spritzed with Creme de Chocolate Glimmer Mist (Tattered Angels) to give them a baked look. I also wrinkled, tore and distressed them, since no chip goes undamaged in a bag ya know...LOL

The medallion was colored with copics and paper toled. There are actually five layers at it highest point. Crazy, huh. Sometimes I just can't help myself. *grin* The buttons are a mix of PTI and SU!, and I sewed around all the edges.

The inside was computer generated, and the lined dp is Making Memories.

That about covers it. Don't forget to check and see what all the other girls have come up with.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Hope you're having a wonderful week!!
Happy Stamping!!

Footprints Feature

It's time for another CCEE challenge and I used SC236 for my layout. This week is our CNFS (catchy name featured stamper), and Dawn chose Footprints27 to feature. So, of course we were required to use any type of footprints on our card. Boy did I have to dig into my stamp stash to find footprints. If you click on the photo, you can see the hot pink toenail polish. *grin*

To see what the other girls have come up with, and if you'd like to play along, head on over to our CCEE Stamper's blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hope you have a fantastic week!!
Happy Stamping!

Mommy Time!!!

As you probably noticed from my post yesterday, Charmaine is having a baby!! Woo-Hoo!! And I am blessed to be on two design teams with her. Yesterday I made a baby card for Isabelle for the Verve blog shower, so today I made something for Charmaine for the Stamper's Dream Blog Shower. I figured it was time for some *Mommy Pampering*!!! So I altered this Soap Gift Box by Partylite. The box and soap packaging was already fantastic, so I just personalized it a bit. The box contains 6 different handmade soaps, and I labeled them with 3 sentiments...Rest, Relax and Restore.

For the Medallion on the outside of the gift box, I used two different JustRite sets: The *Pamper Yourself* Circle sentiment from the Girl Time Set, and the Striped Circle Border from the 10 Designer Centers and Borders Set. The 2" Wood Stamper has two different circle sizes in it so you're able to *layer* the circles. I then set up my own sentiments in the center: Rest, Relax and Restore, with the Trompe Script Complete Font Set and the Trompe Script Lowercase Font.

The yummy papers are Everafter (Cosmo Cricket), and Smokey Gray (PTI). I thought it would be fun to make an *elegant* (and I use that loosely) bow with the 1 1/2" Twill from SU!. The corner was created with the allDeco Victorian punch, and the border was made with a Fiskars punch. Finally, I added a touch of bling with Bronze Rhinestones and Pewter Pearls (Kaisercraft), and ink distressed everything with Vintage Photo (Ranger Distress Ink)

For the soaps, I used my Rectangle Nestablities (Spellbinders), my Harmony Rectangular Stamper and the Trompe Script Upper and Lowercase Fonts again. The little flowers were punched with PunchBunch Punches and the Rhinestones are Kaisercraft and Zva Creative.

Now, the rest of the Dream Team is celebrating the soon-to-be arrival of Isabelle too, so click on the names below to see what they've come up with:

Michelle
Amy

Welcome Little Isabelle!!

(ETA)Sorry if you're seeing this Friday night...I postdated this for Sat. morning and it popped up already...the hop doesn't start until 8:00 am Pacific Sat. the 11th....don't know how this happened...

There’s a new little baby Diva almost here and today we’re celebrating with a suprise shower hop! So come along with us and do the hop, hop, hop to help celebrate the arrival of Charmaine’s new little oodabug! This shindig started at the Verve Stamps blog, so if you’ve just happened along, be sure to hop on over there to start from the beginning!

I'm so excited to be able to participate in this little shower for Isabelle!! Here's the card I made to welcome Charmaine's new little one.

I don't own any Verve *baby* images or sentiments, so I had to make do with what I had. Charmaine loves color...so I went with pink tones (since she's having a girl....*grin*). I thought the tulips from the Miracles Blossom set were sweet, and I adapted a sentiment from the Just For You set. Since Verve's images are clear, it's easy to choose selective words from sentiments. I inked only the words *You are perfect* from the sentiment *You are a perfect example of the person I want to become*. Woila...a baby sentiment. *You* was inked with Versamark and embossed with White ep. *Are* was colored with Green Galore (SU!) and Perfect was colored with Cameo Coral (SU!). The sketch is from this weeks Mojo Monday #94.

The dp is from Papertrey's Text-Style Hodge Podge. And the cardstock is papertrey Sweet Blush and Simply Smooth (Prism).

I have some new punch toys, and the corners were made with one of them. It's an All Decco 4-in-one Victorian Corner Punch.

Finally, I added a bit of bling with Glitter, Rhinestones (Zva Creative), and Pearls (Kaisercraft).

Thanks for stopping by! Now hop on over to Amy's blog for some more cuddly goodness.

Happy Stamping!!

Camo Sailboat

One of my nephews is having a birthday today. I love this Whipper Snapper Patched Sailboat. And when I saw this camouflage dp called Military (Kaisercraft), I thought the camo looked like water. So I set to work making my camo ocean scene. *grin*

I stamped the sailboat with Versamark onto watercolor paper and colored it with my Tombow markers and an aqua pen. I layered it so it would fit in the waves, which I just cut by hand. The tag is a Cuttlebug diecut that I watercolored with my Tombows too, and the ribbon is SU! Everything is ink distressed (including the moon) with Slate (Addirondack Dye Ink), and the Happy Birthday sentiment was created with my Times Roman Font (JustRite).

That about covers it.
Thanks for dropping by!
Happy Stamping!

Holly Berry Ornament

Stamper's Dream has a new line of images in the store and they're charming!!! This is the first one of two that I'll be showing you. It's the Holly Berry House Square Medallion Ornament. Now I chose to just make it one sided and use it on a card to show that it's not just an ornament. I'll be showing it as an ornament real soon too.

I chose to use my JustRite 95 pt Trompe Lowercase Font to make the word *peace* and stamp it in the center with Versamark and Gold ep. But you could put a photo in there, the year, *Merry Christmas*, any sentiment. You could also put a snowflake or a flower in the center. The possibilities are endless. What fun!!!!

The paper I used to piece the ornament is Vagabond (Kaisercraft), Snowflakes and Border Punch (Martha Stewart), Ivory Silk Ribbon (May Arts), Latte Pearls (Kaisercraft), Multicolored Mini Rhinestones (Zva Creative), Buttons (PTI), Natural Burlap String, Swiss Dot Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug).

The card measures 4 1/4" x 8 1/2".
That about sums it up. Be sure to check out the new product Michelle has in her store. Look under New Arrivals, or click Here. She has some of the new Spellbinders Pendants and Borderabilities, some new Whiff of Joy images, and Basicgrey dp and stamps.

Thank you so much for stopping by.
I hope you're having a great week.

A Modern Grid Technique

Man is my summer flying by!! I can't believe the 4th is past and that we're already well into the month of July. I hope all of you have a fantastic weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday with good food, outdoor games, friends and fireworks.

Since this is the first Monday of the month, that means we have a new CCEE challenge hostess. This month it's Dawn, and she challenged us to do a *Modern Grid Technique.* Now I'd never even heard of this technique before, so I needed to see the examples that Frances (StampOwl) provided for us. You can find them HERE, HERE, and HERE.

I decided to combine this Modern Grid Technique with the Tri-Shutter Technique that we did last month. And this is my very first Christmas card of the season too.

To start, I drew my grid lines with my SU! Going Grey marker. Each square is 1"x 1". I then stamped the Snow Swirled (SU!) images with White Craft (SU!) randomly throughout the piece and embossed with White ep. I used a sponge dauber to add Currant (Adirondack Dye Ink) to the centers of the flakes and Lettuce (Adirondack Dye Ink) to the tree center, and then used an aqua pen to pull the color out and blend it. The sentiment was stamped onto one of the Lots of Tags diecuts.

Finally, I added some Multicolored Mini-Rhinestones (Zva Creative) and Clear Rhinestones (Kaisercraft) to the snowflake centers and sentiment piece.

Now, you need to go check out what creative ideas the other girls have come up with. Head on over to the CCEE Stampers blog. We'd love to have you participate too. Just follow the linking instructions when you get there.

Thanks for stopping by. I always love visitors!!
Happy Stamping!
