Fortune's of Fall ~ Power Poppy

https://powerpoppy.com/products/fortunes-of-fall
Happy Friday y'all!!  Are you as ready for the weekend as I am?  I hope you've been enjoying all the Power Poppy Natural Wonders previews.  Don't you just love Marcella's creativity?  Each set is phenomenal, and today's is no exception.  We are featuring a charming set called Fortune's of Fall.  It includes 3 Fall images and 5 beautiful sentiments.  I chose to work with the Zinnias.  I had so much fun coloring the different vases and each unique zinnia!

My card is pretty straight forward.  No unique techniques were used.  I just colored everything with Copics and framed them.  I did add some white highlights to the terra cotta pot and turquoise one by using a white gel pen.  That's it.

Now, check out what the following Bloom Brigaders have to share today:

Thanks so much for visiting!!  Stop by tomorrow for our last preview, and then....you get to shop!!  Woo-Hoo!!!

Happy Stamping!!

Happiest Holiday Release Previews ~ Snow Kissed

Hello Power Poppy friends!!  Today is the first day of 8 days of previews and then a final hop on the 9th day!!!  That is a LOT of Power Poppy goodness to take in, so I hope you're ready for the ride!!  Marcy has pulled out all the stops with these designs, and the Bloom Brigade is in full force with gorgeous samples!!!
https://powerpoppy.com/collections/happiest-holiday-collection
Today we're starting with a set called Snow Kissed.  Isn't that sweet?!?!?  Its two main images are a snowman and a stuffed stocking.  But Marcella didn't stop there.  She added a fantastic variety of filler images as well as some beautifully fonted sentiments.

I chose create a card with the stocking as the focus, along with a sweet "Merry Moments" sentiment.  The word "Merry" looks cross-stitched, so I dotted the stitching with a red Copic to highlight it.

Masculine Short Stacks with Sassy Succulents ~ Power Poppy

Hello again!!  How has your week been?  My heart goes out to those suffering from flooding, or hurricane threats.  And the fires...well, we're getting the smoke from some, but we're not in any risk other than suffering from allergies because of the poor air quality.  So, I'm counting my blessings, and praying for those who are suffering right now.

I do have a masculine card to share with you today, that I created by combining two different Power Poppy Clear stamp sets:  Short Stacks and Sassy Succulents.

I needed a masculine card for my dad's birthday, and I love the packages from the Short Stack set.  I didn't want to make him a card with tulips and a cupcake though, so I thought, why not add a couple of succulents.  So, I got out my Misti, put the clear stamp in it and taped off the tulips and cupcakes with repositionable tape.  I inked everything up, removed the tape and stamped the image onto some X-Press It cardstock.  So...now I have just two packages.  I was able to easily line up the two different succulent pots from the Sassy Succulent set and the end result is what you see above.

I thought the latest Hues to Use it colors were perfect for a masculine card, so I worked with those colors and used some perfect dp from Simple Stories to highlight it.

That's it for my project today.  Be sure to check out what the following Bloom Brigaders have to share though...they are always fabulous at inspiring creativity!!

Feeling Fall ~ Power Poppy

http://powerpoppy.com/products /feeling-fall/
Hello, hello, hello!!!  Power Poppy is previewing another set from the new collection Nature and Nurture today, and it is one of my all time favorites called Feeling Fall.   Seriously!!  I used the Welly image for today, and will be sharing the pumpkins tomorrow because I couldn't choose which image to feature.  They're both so unique and A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!!!  I colored the image with Copics, and added Glossy Accents to the Welly boot because it has to be shiny and wet looking.  I also added some glitter to my leaves because I have been suffering from "glitter withdrawl".  I've included a close-up below so you can see the shine and glitter a bit better.

Once again, that's it for me today.  But boy-oh-boy do the other Bloomies have some inspirational projects they are sharing today.  They never cease to amaze me with their creativity and coloring!!  So check out their blogs:
Thank you so much for dropping by again!!  I am honored by your kind supportive comments!  Tomorrow is release day, and one more day of previews, so come on by again!!

Happy Stamping!!

Pink Lemonade ~ Power Poppy

Hello friends!!  It's Friday!!  Already!!  Oh my goodness how this day can sneak up on a person.  I'm not complaining though, because I am so ready for the weekend!!  And how!!

It's been a bit hot here lately, so I thought this darling little pitcher of refreshment, with an accompanied mason jar, was the perfect image to work with this week!!  It's from the charming Power Poppy Clear Stamp set called Tea in the Garden.

I decided it was going to be pink lemonade for today, and colored it accordingly with some Copics, diecut it with the Stitched Rounded Rectangle die (Die-namics), added some sequins (Pretty Pink Posh), and a charming little daisy that I made using some embroidery thread and a Clover Mini-loom.

This was quite the CAS card for me...which at times can be harder for me than a really involved card.  But this one came together sweetly...especially once I found the paper I wanted to use with it.

CopicsPitcher ~ RV23, RV10, RV0000, Y06, C1, C) Leaves and Spoon ~ YG67, YG25, YG21 Daisies BV31, Y19, Y13 Lemons ~ Y19, Y06, Y13

That's it for me!

Tulips In Hobnail Pitcher ~ Power Poppy

http://powerpoppy.com/products/tulips-in-hobnail-pitcher/
It's Friday!!  Woo-Hoo!!  I am so looking forward to this weekend!!  And......I am so excited to share the card I made using Power Poppy's newest digital image called Tulips in Hobnail Pitcher.  Isn't it gorgeous?  The tulips are so beautifully detailed (typical Marcy style... ;), and that pitcher!!  I tell ya, the minute I had access to this beautiful image, I got right to coloring it.

Can I make a confession?  Okay...here goes....Before designing for Power Poppy, I was totally intimidated by digital images!!  Overwhelmed even.  But now... I LOVE them.  I can make them absolutely ANY...SIZE...I...WANT!!!  How cool is that.  This time around, I knew I wanted to frame them with a circle, so I chose my dies first and printed the image out in the size that fit perfectly inside my circles!!  So cool!!!

I colored the tulips, with Copics, in a variety of colors, because lets face it...more color = greater Spring feeling!!  Am I right?

Copics ~ TulipsPink ~ RV17, RV14, RV13, RV10 Orange ~ YR09, YR04, YR01 Peach ~ YR02, YR01, YR000 Yellow ~ Y17, Y13, Y11 Vase ~ BG49, BG57, BG13, BG11 Leaves ~ YG67, YG17, YG13, YG11, FYG1 Shadow ~ N4, N3, N1, N0

That sums up my project for today.  Be sure to check out the following Bloom Brigade Blogs for some more weekend inspiration!!

But wait...Speaking of Spring, we took our Rhino (off-road vehicle) up to the foothills yesterday to check on our heifers (which are brought up there to graze for the winter).

Below is what we see when we first drive up.  After years of drought, it's nice to see all the green!

I just love this rustic barn with the lush green hills in the background.  This is where we unloaded our vehicle.

Just one of the many incredible views!!  I love the lonely barn in the middle of the valley!

Okay...I don't know why, but I just LOVE thistles.  My husband thinks I'm a bit "off-my-rocker" because they are a horrible weed.  But their color is so brilliant, and I love all the spikes around the bloom and their leaves are super cool!

Yellow flowers can be seen growing in the crevices of the rocks scattered throughout the hills.  I have no idea what they are, but I love them!!

The gang after our trip...minus me of course.  Someone has to be "behind" the camera.  It was a nice day trip with my husband's brother, his wife and three of their 4 boys.

I hope you enjoy a fantastic weekend.

    Happy Stamping!

Folk Heart Friend ~ Power Poppy

Allison Cope Christine Okken Cindy Lawrence Julie Koerber Kathy Jones Katie Sims Leslie Miller Stacy Morgan Tosha Leyendekker
Hello my creative friends!!  I'm back with another Power Poppy preview.  Today the Bloom Brigaders are sharing their creations featuring a new set called Folk Heart.  And as usual with Marcella's designs, it oozes charm.  I mean look at that sweet bird surrounded by a lovely heart wreath!  Who can resist it?  My heart melted when I saw it.

I know...I did it again.  I used bold colors.  It's just that when I saw this image I thought of Mary Engelbreit, thus the black background with bright colors.

The image is colored with Copics, and I added the "Friend" sentiment to the edge of the heart.

For more inspiration, check out the following Bloom Brigade Blogs:

Copics:   Bird ~ BG49, BG57, BG45, BG11, Y17, Y15, Y13, R17, R14, R12 Flowers ~ R17, R14, R12, Y15 Leaves ~ G28, YG97, YG95, YG93

That is all for today's post.  I hope you're enjoying the previews so far.

Bits and Pieces of Olive and Oak

http://powerpoppy.blogspot.com/
Happy Friday!!  I have a lot to share with you today because Power Poppy is hopping this month.  First of all, since it's the first Friday of the month, we're starting a new Power and Spark Challenge.  This month we're required to "use bits and pieces" of a stamp image.  How fun is that!!  Marcy often makes beautiful collages of images and breaking them up can really make some areas of the image "pop".

I chose to use Mojo Monday sketch 281 along with Power Poppy's Olive and Oak digital image.  I also used a sentiment from the Power Poppy Clear set called Dynamic Duos: Peonies and Tulips.  It's my son and his wife's first anniversary in a couple of days, and I thought this Fall image fit perfectly.

The image was printed onto X-Press It cardstock and was colored with copics.

The rest is pretty straight forward, so that sums it up for my project today.  Be sure and check out what the following Bloom Brigaders have to share today though.  These gals don't mess around, let me tell you.  They always pull out all the stops with their coloring and designs.

CopicsAcorns ~ E49, E47, E18, E19, E17, E35, E13, E31, E30, E000, G85, YG63 Olives ~ G28, G24, YG03, T8, T6, T4, T2, R05 Olive Leaves ~ G28, G24, YG03 Oak Leaves ~ G28, G24, YG03, R05, R02, YR02, YR01

Tomorrow is World Card Making Day, and Power Poppy is joining in on all the fun!!  So stop by the Power Poppy Blog tomorrow for some more info and inspiration!!  I have something all sparkly to share too!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great weekend and are inspired to stamp and or color!

Happy Stamping!
