Love #Always ~ Power Poppy

I have a CAS masculine card to share with y'all today.  I've been having fun with my Tim Holtz Mixed Media #4 Thinlits.  Today I used the Stones.  Click Here to read about how I add them to my cards.  For my sentiment, I used the Power Poppy Stamp set Good Thinking Love Notes.  They are out of stock right now, but Power Poppy has a variety of sets that include loving sentiments.  Click HERE to see just a few of them.

That about sums up my card for today.  I told you it was CAS.  ;)

Camillias ~ Power Poppy Preview Day 2

http://powerpoppy.com/products/simply-camellias
Hello friends!!  Have you been enjoying this month's Power Poppy previews?  I sure hope so.  I am in LOVE with this month's release, and today I get to share a project I made using the Simply Camellias set.  This set includes a variety of images of camellias in different settings.  I chose to use two of the images, colored them with Copics, cut them out individually and burnished them.  You can find a tutorial on how to do this on the Power Poppy blog found HERE.

Copics:  R59, R35, R29, RV34, RV32, RV21, RV11, YG95, YG93, YG91, YG01, Y26, Y21, Y0000, E31

Here's a list of the Bloom Brigaders who have previews to share today:

Thanks for dropping by today.  Be sure to stop tomorrow for another preview of a fabulous new Power Poppy set!

Waltzingmouse May Blog Waltz

Hello my friends!!  Well, the day has finally arrived!!  Woo-Hoo!!  This month's Waltzingmouse Stamps Release is now available for purchase!!

You have an opportunity to win a stamp set of your choice too!!  All you have to do is leave comments on the blogs involved in this waltz, and Claire will do a random pick from the comments left.  You have until June 1st at 3:59 am Pacific to leave a comment.  The winner will be posted on Claire's blog June 3.

Now, we'd like to inspire you a bit more and show you just how awesome these sets are, so I hope you will hop along with the team today and check out what everyone has created!!  This is quite the creative bunch!!
If you've arrived here from Teresa's blog, your hopping right along.  If not, start at Claire's blog for a complete list of the the Waltzers.

I wanted to make some candy bag toppers for 4th of July this year since I've found some fun patriotic themed candies.  I used the USA 1776 set, and started by making a rosette, for this first package of Gummy Bears, and included a mini-star embossed background and one of my favorite sentiments in this set.  I love what it stands for and how Claire fonted it.

Okay, aren't these candles just the sweetest!!!  I LOVE them, and thought they would go beautifully on the packaging of these super fun twizzlers.  I framed them with the star frame image and added the "Happy 4th" sentiment along the side.  I also added a bit of sparkle cause that's what this holiday has a lot of.  :)

Tip:  If you'd like the staples hidden, as I have on this package, just staple the base (Mine is white), then adhere a decorative panel to the top to hide them.

That's it for me today.   Next up on the Waltz is the sweet, and oh so inspirational, Becca.

Waltzingmouse Stamps April Release

The day has finally arrived!! It's April release day over at Waltzingmouse stamps, and these new sets are now available for your purchase: My Kind of Guy, Nordic Baby and Man of the Hour
A random commenter will be picked April 21st to win a stamp set of their choice, so be sure to stop by each blog and leave a comment if you want to be entered to win.

If you've arrived here from Teresa's Blog, you are right on track.  If not,  you can go to the Waltzingmouse Blog for a complete list of the hop order.

I'm totally addicted to the My Kind of Guy set.  I wanted to show today that it doesn't just have to be used for masculine projects.  It can be dressed up and made all "pretty like" too.

I started by stamping the circle frame with Smokey Shadow (Versafine) ink, added some Glass Effect Crystal Clear Gel (Viva Decor) to the dots around the border, and sprinkled them with glitter while still wet.

I stamped the border image (it looked a bit like lace to me, although it is designed after the pattern on men's "brogue shoes"), onto Vellum using Versamark, and embossed it with white embossing powder.  It even looks gorgeous from the back.  I tell ya, I can't tell you how many times I flipped that vellum-stamped trim over trying to decide if I liked the front or the back better.  It's beautiful both ways.  I finally decided to adhere it front-side-up, but it could have just as effectively have the back side showing.

I stamped the word "kind" onto a diecut Tattered Banner (Tim Holtz) and distressed it, along with the Primitive Heart (Sizzix) and circle, with Gesso.

The flower was handmade using Rose Creations (Spellbinders), and Diamond Stickles.

I added the dotted scalloped border to the top using Versamark and White Embossing Powder (Judikins), and a sweet little circle of rhinestones.

That's it for today.  I hope you've had fun seeing all the samples these last few days and have been inspired.  I know Claire inspires me with each new release and her creativity in all she does.

Now, head on over to Becca's beautiful Blog for some truly phenomenal inspiration!!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!!
