This pocketwatch card was made for May's 2008 Dirty Dozen gallery. The theme was masculine, and the featured product was metals. I used SU!'s Brushed Gold cs, and an antique button that I felt fit the bill in the metal department. And this card is made entirely out of punches and nestabilities.
The two circles are connected with SU's word window punch. The top oval was made with SU's two ovals. The center oval is Nestabilities smallest petite oval diecut. And the sentiment is on the bottom layer with the top layer opening punched out with SU's key tag punch. I embossed the top layer of the circles with a cuttlebug embossing folder.
The chain is just gold cording tied in a series of knots with a vintage button attached at the end.
I also ink distressed all the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink.
Hope your new year is off to a great start!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Oh, this is so cool, Tosh! Love the texture and clever design! So glad you posted it, because I somehow missed seeing this one in the DD gallery way back when. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, well, well -- just look at this pocket watch! This is fantastic Tosh. Your handiwork is quite impressive right down to the tiniest detail.
ReplyDeleteThis masculine style is so classic, sophisticated and artistic. I know how you like your "bling" so I am sure it was hard to keep this one a little more toned down. It is so impressive and the creativity of using the button was a great idea - BRAVO! (BTW: I am proud of you taking some time "off" and sharing one of your "old" creations that certainly deserves to be spotlighted. Can't wait to see what is coming next!!!)
