Michele (Shel9999) challenged stampers to use Jewels for yesterday's Ways to Use it Challenge.
I started this card yesterday, but my daughter got a new bedroom set for her 15th birthday, so most of the day was spent moving everything *old* out, and all the new in.
I stamped this Northwoods scene *We Three Kings* with Black Onyx (Versafine) on 140lb hot pressed Fabriano watercolor paper. I colored the image with my prisma watercolor pencils and blended with the Stampin'Up blender pen.
The star has some extra sparkle due to my Quickie glue pen and Ultrafine glitter, and I pierced the purple borders with an Ornare piercing template.
For the jewels, I used Amuse Creative Candy for the teeny tiny jewels, and Hero Arts Gemstones for the star center.
When I first saw this image I thought it would look great with the 3 Wisemen on the hill paper toled. Irl they really look like they're on a hill with Bethlehem a ways away. Here's a close-up so you can see the dimension.
Supplies:
Stamps - We Three Kings and Wisemen Still Seek Him (Northwoods)
Paper - Sage Medium and Majestic Purple Medium, Black (Prismatics), Fabriano Watercolor paper
Ink - Black Onyx (Versafine)
Accessories: Prisma Watercolor Pencils, blending pen (Stampin' Up), Quickie Glue Pen, Ultrafine glitter, Rhinestone stickers, piercing template, dimensional tape
