Do you like gingerbread? Have you ever made a gingerbread house? I honestly never have. Is that sad? But I can now say I've colored one.Today I have a Power Poppy card to share with you. This darling gingerbread house is from the new set, appropriately called, Frosted Gingerbread. I colored the house with Copics and added the little white dots, to the candied roof, with a white Sharpie pen. For the snow, I covered the areas with Puffy White paint by Tulip and added glitter to it before letting it dry for 4 hours. Then I took my heat tool to it and watched it puff up. It looks and feels like frosting! Super fun!
I took the sentiment "Hope, Peace, Cookies" cut it up, and added it to the circle's edge. I also added some acrylic paint splatters and embossed background. If you click on the image below, you can get an even closer look at the "frosting".

ReplyDeleteThe frosting is fabulous--yum! I love the white dots on the roof shingles, too. You did this up so cute, Tosh! I have never decorated a gingerbread house until now. This was quicker and less messy!
