Power Poppy August Release

Power Poppy is in the house!!  All the fabulous sets we've been sharing, are now available HERE!!  And just to tempt you one more time, the Bloom Brigade is sharing some inspirational projects today too.  Sunflowers are my absolute favorite flower.  I love their texture, their colors, their huge blooms, and the fact that they always lean towards the sun.  Always toward the light.  It reminds me of my faith.

So, for today's project, I decided to use the Sunflower wrapped bundle from the Sunny Harvest set.  I stamped the image onto decorative paper first and cut out the "wrapping" and pieced it onto an already colored image that I had stamped with Tuxedo Black (Memento) onto Cryogen White card stock.  I wanted to give it a look of being wrapped in newspaper.

Here's a close up of the sunflowers and wrapping.  I should let you know, that I after I had colored all the flowers, I colored over all the blooms with E31 to mute them in order to fit the rustic papers I used in my card.

For more inspiration, be sure to stop by the rest of the Bloom Brigade Blogs if you haven't already.

Here's a list of the Copics I used:  R39, R37, R35, YR16, Y35,  YG67, YG63, YG25, YG21, E59, E57, E37, E35, E31, T7, T3

That's it for today's project.  I hope you'll stop by the Power Poppy Blog.  Marcy has a delightful way of sharing her insight and inspiration.

Thank you for visiting and for all your kind comments.  They are a blessing and encouragement!
    Happy Stamping!
