With a little bit of the story of Power Poppy unveiled yesterday, today we get to share some of the "faces" that will help bring Power Poppy to full bloom! We affectionately call this fabulous and fierce team "The Bloom Brigade" because as you'll soon see - each one has a wild an beautiful facet that they bring with them to this very creative team! Want to learn a little more about this wildly talented force of artistic talent? Marcella asked each of us a question and many of them made us say... "Hmmmm...." Just click HERE to see for yourself!
Q. What is your personal theme song?
A.
That song is “Give Thanks” by Don Moen
Give
thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
And
now let the weak say, "I am strong"
Let the poor say, "I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us"
Let the poor say, "I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us"
I
continually “give thanks”, because God has blessed me beyond measure. My Faith, my family, and my friends, are what
I consider my greatest blessings, but I’m also grateful for the gift of
artistry, which led me to stamping so many years ago, and, in turn, to a
treasure of friends across this great world He has created for us to enjoy.
“Give
Thanks” was also the song my mom wanted played over and over while she was in
the hospital during her last days of suffering with ovarian cancer in 1994. Back then we had cassettes, and even when she
couldn’t speak anymore she would signal for it to be played again. That meant rewinding and rewinding. (grin)
And, because of her example, I am reminded to “Give Thanks” in all
situations: joys and sorrows, because
she did right up to the time God took her home.
I can’t
tell you how thankful and excited I am, to be a part of this new company called
Power Poppy. I believe, in the vision
Marcy has for it, and in all the women who are a part of this journey.
I
will leave you with one more song that I just recently heard: “Beautiful”, by
Mali Music. If you get a chance, I would encourage a listen. I LOVE the lyrics, and the tune is catchy too.

ReplyDeleteTry the song ALONE YET NOT ALONE. You can google it for both the words and the audio. It is the title song to a movie coming out this summer. My theme song is MY BEST FRIEND by Sheri and Jeff Easter. My best friend is my husband of 46 years.
ReplyDeleteTosh my sweet friend, this song is yes you. I would hug you if I could. Your mom appreciated your *rewind* skills more than you know! The fact that we have finally meet was awesome at YS. One memory I will never forget (or my boys) and cherish always. Go have some My-Fro-Yo today and think of us. hee hee Hugs!

ReplyDeleteVery touching and encouraging Tosh! You are such a lovely person and a great designer...I am so excited to be working with you! Stay beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTosh, you have a beautiful spirit, and your story about your mom hit home for me. When my mom lingered in the last month of her life I played music for her over and over. She loved classical music and instilled that love in me, as well. This is going to be a lovely trip with you, I do believe. It's been enlightening reading all these answers and it seems the questions were thoughtfully put to each of us.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the most beautiful things I have ever read Tosha. I feel so fortunate that you shared that special memory with all of us. I am also so grateful for the opportunity to work with you and get to know you..I have admired your work from afar...such creativity and incredible works of heart.we I am also thankful for your artistry because you share it with all of us and we are the better for it! Hugs from miles away....
ReplyDeleteAww this made me cry. What a wonderful memory you have at such a sad time in your life. I love it when music can transport me to a special place and make me feel warm and comforted. She left you with a special way to remember her. I am so excited to share this stamping journey with so many christian women. That really means a lot to me. Your work is awesome and this is going to be so much fun.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Tosh, reading this post just underscores your beautiful heart. You brought tears to my eyes just reading about your labor of love -- rewinding and rewinding -- for your mom. I feel so very blessed to call you friend and.... "I put my lighter in the air for you!" Love you girl!
