Flourishes October Previews ~ Day 2

Hi  all -- time for day two of Flourishes fabulous sneak peeks for October! Today, it's all about the whimsy of those winter months when the temperature drops and the flakes start to fly!

These whimsical snow flakes, from this new set Handmade Snowflakes, are just ready and waiting to be added to all of your winter and holiday themed creations! These hand-drawn flakes, created by Marcella Hawley, offer a dash of charm and style. This 4" by 6" set also offers three scripted sentiments that will give your cards the perfect punch.

I adore winter, and snowflakes are always so fun and can be used for a rustic scene or elegant.  I've done both in the past, but I was feeling elegant today, so I made a pink snowflake card.  I started by diecutting my main panel using Labels 28 (Spellbinders), and while the cardstock was still in the die, I stamped 3 different flakes with Versamark and embossed them with White Embossing Powder.  Keeping the cardstock in the die, I Inked the inside using Spun Sugar Ranger Distress Ink, and then layered it over two more dies which will be listed in the supplies below.  I also added some sparkly twine and Silver String along with a glitterfied punched snowflake and little button.   Lastly, I added 3 little sequins to the snowflakes center giving them an extra pop of sparkle.

Here's a close up so you can see the delicate detail of the snowflakes.  They are exquisite!!

Now, let me share some more news with you.  This set is taking center stage in Flourishes' brand new Class In A Box Kit for October! Here's a peek!

This rustic card kit with country charm comes with the stamp set, plus all the pre-cut paper, embellishments, trim and ribbon needed to make 6 cards -- two each of three designs! Just stamp, and put these beauties together. It's quick and easy card inspiration delivered right to your door! When you're done, save the full-color, glossy instructions to make all of these cards on your own in the future! This kit also features the 6" by 6" paper pack by Bazzill called Nordic Pines. What fun!
