I chose to use the set The Light of Life.  I fell in love with the lantern image the minute I laid eyes on it.  It's so rustic and charming.  I stamped it with Versamark onto watercolor paper, embossed it with black embossing powder and colored it with Tombow markers.

I used a new Spellbinders die set called A2 Curved Borders one and completely cut away the edges of the front panel of the card.  I hope you can see it better opened a bit.   I then used a couple of EK Success Border punches for the top and sewed in some burlap string.

That's it for me.  Now just hop along because you won't want to miss all the inspiration these gals have for you today.

  34. I just love so many things about this card. Is the wavy part cut with a die or did you hand cut this? I haven't seen one that looks like this and I can think of so many things to make using a wavy background. Thanks so much for stimulating new ideas for us!
