I don't have any cards to share today, but I saw something I found fun and interesting. Living in the Central Valley of California, we get to experience temperatures our Western and Southern cities don't have the privilege of. We can have a 25 degree morning with a 52 degree afternoon. I love the changes. Well, one morning while taking my dog out, I noticed the morning sun was burning off the frost, but because of the palm tree's shadow, it left an interesting pattern. It reminds me a bit of a lego shape.
I thought this frosty leaf was pretty laying in the grass also. Not many colors, but I LOVE the texture.
Thanks for letting me share with you. It's not stamp talk, but something else I enjoy. Nature.
Beautiful! Love the photos. . .and remembering what life was like in the Central Valley. . .(though it's only been 7 months since we moved from east of Modesto!). Though I don't miss the fog, I will miss the summer fruits. . no place grows 'em quite like the Central Valley! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat palm tree shadow is amazing!!! What a great shot and love the frosted leaf too! New blog look is great a well :)
ReplyDeleteOMGosh that is an interesting pattern. I live in the Central Valley as well and these mornings are so cold. I hate to complain because I know others are knee deep in snow, but oh how I wish my fingers would stay defrosted all day, lol.
ReplyDeleteThat is neat how the frost is still there with the shape of the palm tree. Great photo.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Tosh, it really does look like Legos!
ReplyDeleteI love what Nature does to enhance itself in the most unexpected ways, Tosh. We live in central Florida in a tiny pocket that is usually about 10 degrees colder in the winter than the surrounding communities. I envy your palm tree. Ours always burn back in the winter. But it's a pleasure looking out over the pasture at the frostiness of morning's crystalized dew, or at the textures formed by miniscule ice formations on pansies and leaves. Thank you for sharing your photos - creating with Mother Nature - one of my favorite things to do!
ReplyDeletethat ia a cool shot of the roof, it is just amazing the things you can see after a fresh morning
ReplyDeleteYep...looks like that here in Salem, Oregon too! Lovely to look at, but Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
