Verve World Card Making Blog Hop

Welcome to the World Card Making Day edition of the Verve Diva Inspirations Hop!  Along the hop this month we're debuting FIVE brand new plain janes that just hit the store today, so grab a drink and hop along to see a fresh mix of old and new Verve and maybe even win a prize! You can find out all the prize details and see the full reveal of the new plain janes over on the Verve Blog today.

If you've arrived here from the super sweet Teresa's Blog, you're on the right track.  If not, be sure to start at the beginning at the lovely Betty's Blog.  So, now for my project...

My daughter's roommate in college loves to bless others with random little notes of encouragement throughout the week.  No one knows when or where they're going to receive them.  Her thoughtfulness inspired me to create this framed cork board with little notes of encouragement.  Verve is full of sets and Plain Janes that were perfect for my little board and I thought the newest additions would make great backgrounds and accents to the little cards.

I stamped the Square Medallion Plain Jane, with Onyx Black Versafine, directly onto some sticky back Cork Board.  I stuck it to some Foam Board and inserted it into the frame.

I framed the girl's names at the top using one of the Fancy Framed Tags One (Spellbinders) dies.  It's hard to see against the black frame, but it's the same frame I used on the card below.

The little notes were all diecut using Verve's Round Rectangle Die.  The backgrounds on the cards were all stamped with various Plain Janes and images.  The colored images are some of the new medallions called Loopy Medallion and Loopy Petals.  I also used the Square Medallion on occasion.   I'll list all the stamp sets and Plain Janes at the bottom of the post.  It's quite a substantial list.  :)

The sentiment on the card is one of the new Plain Jane's called So Sweet, and I loosely used Julee's World Card Making Sketch found below.

Here you can see all the encouragement cards I created.  I didn't think you'd want to look at 18 individual photos, so if you're interested in finding where you can get these encouraging sentiments, I've included the list below.

That's it for my project, and I'm the caboose of this hop.  I hope you've enjoyed yourself and have been inspired.

Happy Stamping.

  5. This is a fabulous project. I love to stamp little scripture cards and leave them as notes of encouragement. This is simply an amazing idea. Your card is equally impressive....just wondering how you got al the background stamps straight. I usually go for a randomly arranged look because getting things straight is so difficult.
Thanks for sharing your gorgeous project!
