A Summery Birthday Treat

It's time for another CCEE Stamper's Blog Challenge, and this week we were challenged to make a card/project with an ice cream image or sentiment since it's National Ice Cream Day July 17.

Well, since I don't own any ice cream images, I decided to make my own cone with a template by Linsey Rickett that I found on the Scor-Pal website. She calls them Ice cream cups.

See the sweet medallion I attached? I made it with a JustRite set called Elegant Charms. I love them. There are a variety of shapes and sentiments, and they come in handy for packages, or just to dress up a card. I got mine at Stamper's Dream.

To get the cone texture, I embossed it with the bottom portion of the Sizzix Embossing Folder Thank You Set #5, and lightly sanded it.

The ice cream portion of the cone was made with felt, and I added some Burlap String and a sweet little button.

Thanks so much for stopping. Be sure to check out the CCEE Stamper's Blog to see what summery treats the other gals are sharing.

Happy Stamping!
Tosh

  8. Oh, I wish I had seen this sweet little card before I created my brother-in-law's card. His last name is Cone and that would have been the perfect card for him. I will have to save this to make for him next year. That is by far the most darling little card. Thanks for sharing.
