Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #42

It's Saturday, and our weekend is off to a great start. I'm going with my family to see Wicked this weekend, a production I've heard a lot about, and haven't had a chance to see yet, so I'm pretty excited. Also, since it's Saturday, I thought I'd make a card for the Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge. It's my first as a DT member. :)

To create the bg, I masked off the blank sections of the kraft cs, and stamped the blanket image, from the set Way Out West, at an angle with Vintage Sepia (Versafine). Before removing the masks, I sponged around the stamped edges with Brushed Corduroy Ranger Distress Ink. After I had all the panels finished, I framed each section by scoring two lines 1/8" apart, and piercing in between. Then I added the sentiment from the set Back in the Saddle, which I framed with one of the banners from the Bitty Banners set, some twine to the center panels, and three little brads.

My son's almost done with his 3rd year of college, so I thought this card would be perfect to help him celebrate the end of the year.

That's it!! Really quick, easy, and masculine.

Be sure to check out the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog to see what the Mischief makers came up with from this sketch. They're incredible!!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!
Happy Stamping!!
