Verve Spotlight Hop Day 2 ~ Bloom & Grow


It's Day 2 of Verve's Spotlight Hop, and the divas are featuring the set Bloom & Grow along with some fabulous new A Cut Above Dies. Now, we're still counting down to Verve's release party this Friday night, April 15, with THREE more days of Spotlight Hops! I chose to use the Bloom & Grow set along with the Birthday Phrases set that was previewed yesterday. Now there's a fabulous variety of flower and leaf images and sentiments in this set so I thought I'd make my main panel focus on them. I was inspired by the photo, of blue and white eggs, on the cover of this months Martha Stewart Living magazine.

Sorry my photo is so dark, but that was the only way the blue stayed true. I used a deep ColorBox Blue called Midnight. When I photographed it in my tent it looked quite royal and bright. Now that's fine if I had stamped it in that color. :) I added a sentiment tag with the Charming Banner die, a few rhinestones, a bow and one of the new Sparklers by Webster's Pages. I also included a little star charm (JoAnn), and two punched borders (EK Success). Very simple, but I think the blue, against the white, is quite striking.

    Ooo! Nice to see some of the other images. I kind of thought the triplicate flowers and leaves with the matching dies were the whole set, with maybe some sentiments (and that would certainly have been fine). But these are lovely...enjoying your background paper!!

    How can something with only two colors (if you count white) be so stunning!?!? Absolutely gorgeous. I too saw the MS mag cover and it really caught my eye, but would never have used it in this way. Beautiful. I could go on and on. : )
