Woo-Hoo!! Fall is on it's way. We've had a bit of rain, and some cooler temperatures. I'm starting to get a tad excited now.
Let me tell ya about these two cards. My daughter is a teacher's assistant to two of the sweetest third grade teachers who are very kind and encouraging to her. (Especially since she plans on majoring in Elementary education in college) Well, in our house, we burn candles almost every day, no matter the season. Not everyone appreciates candles in the summer though. But since the weather is changing, she wanted to show some appreciation by giving them each a jar candle. Of course, being a daughter of mine, you can't give a gift without a handmade card. So, I set to work to make two mini-cards. I love making these. They're 2 1/2" x 3 1/4" with the sweetest little envelopes. I colored three of the smaller images, from the Flourishes Clear Stamp set called Apple of my Eye, with Copics . Aren't these images adorable? The apple on the envelope was colored, cut out, and adhered to the envelope. Otherwise the Copics would bleed through it. They were each diecut with Nestabilities and popped up with some dimensional tape. Lastely, I punched a border along the bottom with a Martha Stewart punch, Scored a couple of lines, and added some Baker's Twine and a button. It hardly took any time at all.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope your week is off to a super start!!
Happy Stamping my friends!

Verve Sneak Peek 2 ~ Final Day ~ Sweet Scallop Tag Box
Hey all you Verve fans!! I have a second project to share with you today. This one uses the GORGEOUS Sweet Scallop Tag Die and the Tag Die image from the Glad Tidings set. I inked the snowflake and border with two different Versamagic inks. Using the Dew Drops makes it easy. I then covered the flake with some glitter and added the "Just For You" sentiment. Finally, I attached it to a box that I decorated with Jack n'Jill Prima Marketing paper and a Martha Stewart border punch. I also added some Seam Binding Ribbon and a fabric covered brad by g.c.d. Studios.
Don't you just love that tag? I adore the charming shape and will get tons of use out of it I'm sure. Now, scroll down to my earlier post for today to check out what the other girls have done. Or, click HERE.
Verve Release ~ Final Day
Woo~Hoo!! Verve's release day has finally arrived!! Be sure to join us at the Release Party tonight, 9:00 pm Eastern time. Click HERE for all the details. The sneak peeks for today are "anything goes". Which means the divas will be peeking from the Winter, and the Fall release. I chose to use a release from the Winter that I hadn't gotten a chance to use yet. It's called Richly Blessed and was peeked by the divas on Tuesday. I just stamped this beautiful sentiment with Onyx Black Versafine directly onto the dp. The rest is pretty self explanatory.
Don't forget to leave comments on all the divas' blogs for a chance to win the set peeked. You have until 7:00 pm Eastern time tonight.
Now, check out what the rest of the divas are showing to enable you today. *grin*

Verve Release Day 4 ~ Glad Tidings
It's day 4 of this week's Verve release, and the divas are not disappointing. My goodness what a show! Of course it helps that Julee's images are absolutely THE BOMB!!! And today I get to show my absolute favorite. SNOWFLAKES!! I love snow!! I'm originally from the midwest, and living the past 21 years in California has really made me miss it!! I love the cold weather!! Love it!! So, having almost 8 months of the year in the 70's to 100's is not my idea of ideal temperatures. Alaska is more to my liking. But, this is where our business is, so I get my snow through stamp images. *grin* The stamp set being featured today is Glad Tidings, and it's chalk full of fabulous Verve goodness!! There's a charming wreath, elegant snowflakes, a super fantastic tag image with a die to match, and a gorgeous variety of sentiments. I could make at least 10 cards or gifts out of this set alone, and not have duplicates.
Aren't these flakes gorgeous? Seriously? I'm in love!! Since today's Thursday, I combined today's Verve release with my CCEE Stamper's challenge: make a CAS card. And this card is totally Clean and Simple. All I did was stamp the snowflakes with Vintage Sepia Versafine onto Kraft cs, outline them with Inkssentials White Opaque Pen, add a few buttons, and punch a border with a Martha Stewart border punch. Easy Peasy!!
Okay, here are the details. This set will be given to one random commenter. Just make sure you leave your comments before 7:00 pm Eastern time Friday evening. The winners will be announced at the Release Party that night.
Now, you'll for sure want to check out what the other divas are up to today. Here's a list of who's participating:

Verve Release Day 3 ~ Merry Wishes
Boy, this week is going fast. It's already Day 3 of the Verve sneak peeks! WOW! Have you been enjoying the peeks? I tell ya, the divas have been cranking out pure gorgeousness!! Today I'm featuring the berry branches from the Merry Wishes set. I think they are just the sweetest!! This set, along with the other set being peeked today, will be given to one random commenter also. Just make sure you leave your comments before 7:00 pm Eastern time Friday evening. The winners will be announced at the Release Party that night. So, be sure to check out what each of the divas has to share with you today. I'll have the links at the end of this post. Now, for my card.
I stamped the berries with Onyx Black Versafine onto Natural cs, and since I'm addicted to the Viva Decor Gel, (sad, I know...once I get on a kick, it's hard for me to get off....lol) I used the red this time with glitter. Here's a close up. Aren't they fun?
I also added the sentiment "Holly Jolly" from the Holiday Phrases set. I though it was a perfect fit. The dp is all from Christmas Delight by Little Yellow Bicycle. The border underneath the image is a Tim Holtz die, and the other two are EK Success and Fiskars respectively.
It's time to check out what the other divas have to share. Here's a list of who's participating today:

Manger Kisses
Isn't this manger scene just precious? I love these sweet little angels from the Manger Peace set by Stampendous that I got from Stamper's Dream. They're stamped with Tuxedo Black (Memento) onto Neenah Natural cs, and are colored with Copics with a bit of glitter added to the wings. I framed them with Circle, and Lacey Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), and used Mojo Monday Sketch #162 as my inspiration. The dp is Tradition by Fancy Pants, and the borders were made with EK Success Punches. I also added some Kaisercraft Rhinestones and a bit of sewing around the edges.
That's it for today.
Stop by tomorrow for some more Verve Sneak Peeks.
Happy stamping my friends!

Verve Release ~ Winter Mittens ~ Day 1
Woo-Hoo!! Verve is having another release this week!! And you'll love what Julee has for you too!! Today, I'm peeking the sweet little mittens from the set Winter Mittens. This set has 6 charming images: 3 beautifully fonted sentiments, mittens, a darling little button and cute little heart. This set, along with one of each of the other sets being peeked today, will be given to one random commenter also. Just make sure you leave your comments before 7:00 pm Eastern time Friday evening. The winners will be announced at the release party that night. So, be sure to check out what each of the divas has to share with you today. I'll have the links at the end of this post. Now, for my card.
I stamped the mittens onto some Velveteen paper, cut them out and added some glitter. They're framed with the Beaded Spellbinders Circles. I colored the button with Copics and added some Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Gel. The swirls and snowflakes are stickers, and the border was made with an EK Success Punch.
I also added some Viva Decor Opaque White Gloss Gel to the Beaded frame. I wanted the look of sparkly snowballs, so they're each covered with Cool Highlight Crystal Glitter Ritz Transparent Micro Fine Glitter too. (man that's a mouthful....lol) Here's a close~up of one of the snowballs.
That's it for today's card. Thanks so much for stopping by. Now,be sure to check out what the other Divas have to show ya.

The Gift of Love
It's the beginning of a new week, and I love beginnings. It's a chance for a fresh start. No matter how last week went, we have a new opportunity to make this week the best it can be. I can't wait to start!!
Well, first of all, I have a Christmas card to share with you. I love this sentiment: "The gift of love is the heart of Christmas". To me, that is the true meaning of Christmas, because God sent His son for me; a true gift of love. I love this image too, not just for faith reasons though. My mom collected cardinals, and talked often of the antics of the deeply rich, red birds outside her window. (Treasured memories) And I love anything rustic, so the potted evergreen struck a chord with me.
I paired this Impression Obsession image, called The Gift of Love, with some fun Graphic 45 dp. The image is colored with copics and ink distressed with Vintage Photo Ranger Distress Ink. I also added a punched border to the side with a Fiskars Punch and my Scor-Pal, along with some ribbon, a button by Buttons Galore, some Kaisercraft Rhinestones, and some holly leaves that were punched with a Martha Stewart Punch. That about sums up my card.
Heads up: You really should check out the Sales and Specials over at Stamper's Dream. Michelle has a fabulous variety of papers, Spellbinders dies, and stamp images on sale. I'm just saying.... :o) While you're there, check out what's New too. There are some awesome new goodies you won't want to miss.
That's it for me today guys. Stop by each day this week though. Verve's having another release this Friday, so I'll be peeking some of their images each day. On Tuesday, though, I'll have another Stamper's Dream card to share with you. It's a full stampin' week I tell ya!!
Hope your week is off to a really super start!!
Happy stamping my friends!!

Missoula Inspired Challenge Throwdown
Happy Friday my stampin' friends!! The weekend is almost upon us. Woo-Hoo!!
Today, I have a challenge throw down card for you. At least, that's what Laurie calls it. Since Laurie, Julee and I spent a couple of days in Missoula, MT last week, Laurie thought it would be a good idea to make a card inspired by something in Missoula. Well, I'm a nature freak, so obviously I'd be drawn to something outdoors. I LOVED the look of this old building by the river. The sign on the side says Missoula, although I'm not sure what this building is for.
I loved the colors, and textures, so this was what I chose to focus on. I was also inspired by a sweet little store we went to called Noteworthy. They had a fabulous variety of letterpress cards on display, and I thought it would be fun to make a card using a letterpress technique. I was also inspired by one more thing, but I'll get to that in a bit.
For the brick wall, I inked up the Brick Tim Holtz Texture fade with Brick Red Versamagic, and ran it through my cuttlebug. I colored the turkey, from the Verve set Bountiful Harvest, with Copics and paper toled him. there are actually three layers to this studly Tom. I added one of the sentiments with a Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio, along with some PTI Saddle stitched ribbon and buttons. The dp behind the turkey is from Dream Street Papers, and the bg dp is by Imaginisce. Finally, the border was punched with an EK Success punch.
Now, are you wondering what my third inspiration was yet? Of course, it was the two people I was hanging around. I thought the turkey image was totally appropriate. *grin*
That about sums up my Inspiration Challenge Throw Down. Now head on over to Julee and Laurie's blog to see what caught their eye while in Missoula.
I have one more photo I'd like to share. I really love the textures on the back of this flower, and how the city is in the background.
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a super fantastic weekend!!
Happy Stamping!

eta: (a sweet commenter who lives in Missoula (love this town) has educated me. Here's what she said: "the building in your photo is an old train station, which is now the National headquarters for Boone & Crocket. It is a museum with trophy sized animals taken with a rifle.")
Thanks Wendy!!

Apples for a sweet friend.
I know, I know!! It's been forever since I posted. I do have a good reason for that though. I got to spend a couple of days with Laurie and Julie, and another couple of days with my son. I was very blessed during both visits. Laurie, Julie and I, spent two blissful days shopping, eating and laughing!! Good times I tell ya!! Both of them are the absolute sweetest (when they don't have their ornery hats on of course), and both are a barrel of laughs. Time, spent with them, was too short. There was only one thing we didn't get to do much of..............sleep!!!!!! LOL
I also got to spend a couple of days with my son, who's in the middle of his Junior year of college. We had a fabulous time at a pumpkin patch where they launched a pumpkin towards a bulls eye about a 1/4 mile. Way cool. And they had a variety of critters to pet and argue with too. A gaggle of geese really had a lot they wanted to get off of their mind. LOL
Well, onto this weeks CCEE Challenge card. We were to incorporate a handmade ruffle. I just took PTI's Saddle stitched ribbon and pulled one of the white threads to make my ruffle. The beautiful apple image, that I got from Stamper's Dream, is from the set called Apple of my eye by Flourishes. It's stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and is colored with Copics. The yummy paper is from October Afternoon's paper pad Seaside. The rhinestones are Kaisercraft, and the border was made with an EK Success Punch and Scor-Pal.
That's about it gang. Head on over to the CCEE Stamper's Blog to see what the other gals have come up with. We'd love to see your handmade ruffles too. Just link your project with Mr. Linky.

Beauty in Nature
I just had to use Mojo Monday #160 sketch again because I wanted to use this fabulous Plain Jane nature sentiment by Verve called Every Season. I'm such a nature freak!! I adore flowers, trees, birds, rivers, waterfalls, etc. The pieced tree is from the set Autumn Splendor, the paper is Festive and Frost by MME, and the bottom border was made with an EK Success border punch. (The side border was made with a Martha Stewart Punch) I added some Seam Binding Ribbon and ZVA Creative Rhinestones, as well as some sewing to finish it off.
That about sums it all up.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a super weekend!! I'm thoroughly enjoying mine and will tell ya about it early next week.
Happy Stamping my friends!

Nature
Boy, Thursday has arrived quickly once again. So, I have a CCEE Stamper's card to share with you. This time, we were challenged to use wood on our card. It could be a faux wood technique, embossed wood grain, or even.....real wood. *grin* I chose to use wood buttons.
I colored this gorgeous Flourishes Sunflower (that I got from Stamper's Dream), with Copics, cut it out, and popped it up onto Old School dp by PinkPaislee. The rest is pretty self explanatory, so I'll just list all the products used at the bottom of the post.
I have a second card to share with you today also.
For this card, I used Mojo Monday sketch #160 and one of JustRite's Nested Frames called Give Thanks. I loved the sentiment, as well as the sweet little leaf frame. I colored the leaves with Copics, and added some glitter and dots with Viva Decor Graphite Gel. The dp is Pink Paislee Sweetness, and the side border was made with an EK Success Punch. Lastly, I added some ribbon and ZVA Creative pearls.
Now, we'd love to have you join us in this week's challenge, so head on over to the CCEE Stamper's blog to see what the rest of the gals have done, and link your creations with Mr. Linky.
Thanks for dropping by!

Do not give up!!
Howdy stamping friends!! It's the start of a new week, and I can't wait!! I'm actually a Monday person. LOVE them!! Today, I have a special card to share with you. Not only do I LOVE this verse, but I made it while spending the day stamping with some very special friends: Pat and Nat. They live about 35 miles north of me, and we don't get to see each other often enough. But, this past weekend, they came down to stamp, eat, and watch my DD in her High School play.
We decided it would be fun to all use the same sketch and see where inspiration took us. Check out Pat's card HERE and HERE, and Nat's card HERE. Aren't they fabulous? They totally ROCKED this sketch!!
Well, for my card, I knew I wanted to use one of Verve's newest Plain Jane's Galations 6:9. I then chose papers from the paper pack Queen Bee by PinkPaislee. I added a Paper flower over some May Arts Silk Ribbon, some PTI buttons, and some sweet Sugar Picks by Jillibean Soup. I also added some rhinestone flourishes, a Martha Stewart punched border, and a bit of sewing along with some Pumice Stone ink distressing.
You might want to head on over to check out all the new images released by Verve too. Julee has really outdone herself yet again!!!! If you purchase the entire release by Oct. 28, you get 15% off. Now that's a steal of a deal!! Especially when you factor in all the images included in these sets.
That about sums everything up. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Happy Stamping!!

Verve Release Bountiful Harvest ~ Day 3
It's the final day of peeks, and I have to say that this set is my favorite!! And that's saying a lot because I adore every image released. Seriously!! And, guess what!! They'll all be available for sail at 12 Noon Mountain time!! You don't have to wait till the evening to shop!! AWESOME!! Not only that, but each comment you leave on a diva's post, gives you chance to win one of these new sets!! (only 1 comment allowed per post though)
I have two cards to share with you again today. For the first, I used the fabulous trio of pumpkins!! They're colored with Copics, and I paper toled the front two to give some dimension.
The yummy paper is Steampunk Debutante by Graphic 45, and all the edges were ink distressed with Vintage Photo Ranger Distress Ink. I used a variety of Spellbinders dies too: Circle, Lacey Circle, Petite Oval and Labels 2 Nestabilities, Fleur de Lis Borderabilities.
For my second card, I used this release's sketch VSWCMD4. You have until 11:59 pm Mountain Time today to get your entries in. Check HERE for all the details.
The sentiment is one of the new Plain Janes: Ecclesiastes 3:11. Isn't it beautiful? I used My Mind's Eye dp (Haunted...I know, terrible name to use with such a beautiful sentiment, but I LOVE the elegance of the paper. :) The circle was made with felt, and the leaves were made with the Leaves and Branches Sizzix die. The flower is Prima.
That's it for today. I hope to have one more to share with you tomorrow with another Plain Jane. It's not made yet though...*grin*...just in my head.
Be sure to keep following this little hop. The divas have some fabulous creations to share with you. Here's the list for today:

Autumn Splendor Verve Release with a CCEE twist
It's day two of Verve's release, and today we're showcasing the set Autumn Splendor. And I'm on cloud 9 too! I have my internet back!! Woo-Hoo!!
I made two cards to share with you today. Since it's Thursday, I included my CCEE Stamper'schallenge which was to create a card with a handmade flower. I made my flower with the elongated leaves from the Autumns Splendor set. They're stamped with Brick Red Versamagic and coated with Frosted Stickles. I added a sweet little rhinestone to the center too. I also used the Verve sketch VSWCMD1 found Here. (The sentiment is from the set to be released tomorrow...shhhhh) :)
eta: The dp used in the first card is Webster's Pages' Collection Triple Pack, the second is Olivia by BoBunny
I just adore the leaves that Julee designed for this Verve set, so I chose to do some falling leaves with the solid images in a variety of colors.

Many Blessings Verve Release
I still don't have internet, and since I'm now even borrowing a friends computer because we can't get mine to cooperate with the wireless, I'm going to keep this short.
Julee always comes up with the most beautiful flowers, and I couldn't wait to make a flower garden. So I used all three sized flowers from the Many Blessings set. They're all colored with Copics, and I added some Viva Decor Gloss Gel and glitter to the centers. The green strip along the bottom is some yummy leather ribbon. How cool is that?
Thanks so much for stopping by. Next on this little Verve Hop is the fabulously talented Teresa!!

Christmas Sweets Trio
Howdy my fellow stampers!! This is going to be a quick post. My internet is down, and the company informed me that it may not even be up and running again tomorrow. So, I hauled my laptop over to my friends church in town and am using their wireless. Is that not generous of them or what!!!
Last, but not least is this chocolatey mug filled with yummy marshmallow cream that I created with some Liquid Applique. The sentiment was made with the Curlz font by JustRite Stampers.
Each card has a Martha Stewart punched border with some glittery snowballs made with Viva Decor Opaque Gel and Glitter.
So, onto my itty bitty cards. They're 2 1/4" x 3 1/4". I love making these small cards. I just think they're the sweetest. Pair their size with these darling little Sugar and Spice (Cookbookin) images that I got from Stamper's Dream, and ya have some sweet little cards!!
They're all colored with Copics and framed with Spellbinders' Labels 15 die.
I just adore this charming flour sifter filled with darling little gingerbread cookies peeking out of it. I colored the hearts and stars with Spica Pens, but it's hard to see here.
I tell ya, those thumbprint cookies are just killing me. Boy, do I ever have a craving for them right now.

That's it for today. I hope you've enjoyed this little Christmas Sweets Trio.
Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see another Verve sample made with some of the newest images that are being released this Friday.

Happy Harvest Verve Release
I am so excited to share this card with you all today!! This is one of the new Plain Janes that Verve will be releasing on Friday of this week!! Once again, Julee has outdone herself. She has such a wonderful variety of Plain Janes and images in her sets that will just set your heart aflutter!! Seriously!! This first one is called Harvest Birds. Aren't they sweet? And of course, the sentiment that goes with the birds is simply charming!!
I used today's Mojo Monday sketch 159 as my starting point, and the card just took on a life of its own. Don't ya just love it when you have a fabulous image, an inspiring sketch, and yummy paper? The card practically makes itself.
check this out: The Verve set Frosty Flakes is the Featured set this month too. It's 40% off through Oct. 28 while supplies last!! What a deal!!
Be sure to check back tomorrow. I have a sweet little trio of cards to share with ya'll!!
Happy Stamping my friends!!

Just a Blog Hop!!
Welcome to Just A Blog Hop. We were invited to put aside all of our stamping oriented obligations and deadlines and create something just for fun. The hop guidelines were simple: choose a challenge to play and choose either a new uninked stamp or an old favorite. Create a card and mail it to someone. What could be better to celebrate World Card making day? I chose to use this week's sketch over on Splitcoaststampers found HERE, with this darling Lantern Snowman by Whipper Snapper, and a sentiment from the Waltzinmouse set Seasons of Love.
That's it from me for today. Thanks so very much for stopping by. Now if you came here from the fabulously talented, and super sweet, Jackie Pedro's blog, you are on the right track. If not, you'll want to head on over to Jami Sibley's blog (the ultra sweet and talented organizer of this hop ) to start at the beginning. Jami also has the complete list of participants in case there are any glitches.
Next on the hop is Taylor Van Bruggen. You won't want to miss the inspirational creation she has to share.
Stamps: Whipper Snapper, Waltzingmouse
Paper: Frosted Kiwi (Prism), Winter Joy (Bo Bunny), White (PTI)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Onyx Black (Versafine)
Accessories: Rectangle, Circle, and Lacey Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Copics, Snowflake and Swiss Dots embossing folders (Cuttlebug), Black Glitter, Rhinestones (Zva Creative and Kaisercraft), Corner Tag Punch (SU!), Dimensional Tape (Scotch)
