Black Lace

I'm not sure what I really think about this card as a whole, but I do know I LOVE my new toys. The floral bg was made with a new product by Spellbinders called Impressabilities Flowers. You just run it through whatever diecut machine you may have (I use a cuttlebug), and use the plates you would use to emboss. I used it on Core'dinations paper (black on one side and a color on the other), and then sanded it with a sanding block. It really made the embossed portion pop!! The lacy border was made with a Martha Stewart border punch.

Now, my center panel was made with a new Spellbinder die Octagon shape. I ran two sizes through my cuttlebug together to get the embossed center . The sentiment was created by using my Harmony Rectangular Stamper with the 50pt Trompe Script Uppercase Font, and the 15pt Times Roman Font (JustRite). The only ink used was Tuxedo Black (Memento). The circle was also cut with the Circle Nestabilties.

The flowers and leaves were made with various punches: Martha Stewart, Punch Bunch, Carl CarlaCraft, and the Pearls are Kaisercraft. The Tiny Twinkles are from Taylored Expressions.

That about covers it. If you ever have any questions, feel free to email me.
Hope you're having a great week!
Happy Stamping!
Tosh

  1. Oh My! This is divine! Wonderful black lace. Think I like that it is using so many different textures to create a truly lovely effect. Was going to say I liked the flowers best, but as I continued to gawk, I decided the butterflies were it! Well done, Tosh!

  22. Lovely card Tosh.
So many wonderful textures, subtle color shadings and best of all your supplies list made me laugh. The Tiny Twinkles had me making up lyrics relating to that name to the tune of Tiny Bubbles...Just try singing Tiny Twinkles to that tune and you'll be laughing even without any further lyrics. On the other hand it may be a generational thing added to being almost midnight. Hmmmm...what exactly was in that chicken soup I just ate....? That's the look my cats are giving me anyway :D

Hugs and blessings and thanks for sharing the inspiration - Jean

  23. Love how you did the background, I had a hard time getting an impression with mine, I ended up really bending it, but it seemed to flatten back out, cool and dramatic card!
