The poppies are blooming all over the place here in central California, inspiring me to make this card with one of Anna Wight's gorgeous poppies from her Blossoms and Butterflies sets (Whipper Snapper Designs). The sentiment is from her Blooming Expressions set (Whipper Snapper Designs). The poppy is colored with copics and is 3 layers.
I also added a bit of glitter to make the poppie sparkle and pop.
Supplies:
Stamps: Blossoms and Butterflies, Blooming Expressions (Anna Wight - Whipper Snapper Designs)
Paper - Sweetbay (Memory Box), Birchtone Dark and White (Prismatics), Neenah Solar White
Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Old Paper (Ranger Distress Ink)
Accessories - Oval Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Corner Rounder, Copics, Button (MME)
Quickie Glue Pen, Ultrafine Glitter, hot glue gun
Hope you're have a fabulous weekend!
Happy Stamping!!
Tosh
Very pretty ... love the button embellishment
ReplyDeleteDarling poppy card, Tosh. The tiny hint of glittery sparkle peeking out from the poppy's center is heartwarming. I so miss my golden California poppies. My Temecula backyard slope was covered in them in the spring, and driving up and down I-15 in the Spring was a real treat. Thanks for the memories...
ReplyDeleteOoooooh, I love this poppy....and I'm totally jealous that you all have flowers already blooming out there in CA...I'm still looking around for that first Crocus to pop up here in PA.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, girl, LOVE all that white space and the rounded corners on that middle panel.
Blooming poppies - my seeds haven't even arrived yet. Loved your cloud photos yesterday (?), didn't get time to leave a comment.
