This weeks featured stamper on SCS is Michelle (Shellapoo). She has a heart as big as Texas and uses it to encourage ill children. All while struggling with a debilitating disease herself. To read more about her generosity, click HERE. Her gallery can be found HERE. And finally, the card I cased is HERE.
When you case someone on SCS, you have to make at least two changes. I loved Michelle's layout and sewing, so I kept mostly to that...I eliminated one of the trios on the side. I also changed the colors, my stamp image, and added layers! LOTS of layers...*grin* Oh, how I love layering!! I also added dew droplets to the bottom left and a ribbon on the side...oh, and the circle over the rectangle piece.
The Ocean Fish (Impression Obsession) was stamped with Tuxedo Black (Memento) and is paper toled and colored with copics, with ultrafine glitter added with my Quickie Glue Pen. I added crystal Stickles to the bubbles too. The sentiment, Best Fishes, is also by Impression Obsession.
The stars are cuttlebug diecuts with SU's large eyelets in the center. The sewing around the panels was done with a green metallic thread. It fits with the sparkle of the fish. I like the distressed look with a bit of sparkle!
Here's a couple of close-ups so you can see the layers and the sewing a bit better.
