Hoppy Easter Verve Release Hop

Verve's releasing a sweet little set just in time for Easter. It's called Hoppy Easter, and it has the sweetest little bunny, flower and sentiments. One lucky commenter will win this darling set too. All you have to do is leave a comment on the blogs before Sun. April 1, at 8:00 pm Eastern time, and you will be entered to win. You don't have to comment on every blog, but it does increase your chances. ;)

eta: I used this week's Viva la Verve sketch as my inspiration

I stamped the flower 9x, colored it with copics, added rhinestones and glitter, then layered it with dimensional tape. I planted the flowers in a diecut Flower Pot (Spellbinders), along with some Sizzix diecut leaves and stems.

I stamped the "Easter Wishes" sentiment, with Smokey Gray Versafine, onto the larger Charming Banner dies, folded it a bit, and added a couple of pearls.

And lastly, I paper pieced the darling bunny with dp from MME's "Be Happy" Follow Your Heart" line.

That's it for my card.

Be sure to visit the other girls' blogs to see how they can inspire with this sweet set. Here are the links:

You're Amazing!

Andrea has designed a wonderful CAS sketch for the Viva la Verve challenge in the Verve forum this week. I used her sketch on an oval shaped card since I wanted to use some of my new Spellbinders dies. The sweet little sentiment flag was made using a phrase from the Verve set Small Phrases. It has wonderfully sweet and elegantly fonted sentiments perfect for little spaces. The heart was diecut using the Verve die Wavy hearts.

Faith

I received some new Spellbinders dies in the mail a couple of days ago, and started working with them right away. I mean, really, new toys? Who can resist. I LOVE the Florentine Frippery (Waltzingmous) images Claire has created for the new Labels 24 die. During the release in Feb., I made it into a flower. But I feel it stands alone really well too. For inspiration, I used this week's WMS sketch. Have you played along yet? Well, check out HERE for some inspiration, and get to creating. :)

The bg was created using this set, as well as the flourishes on the Antique Frame and Accents Tag (Spellbinders). The sparkly "Faith" sentiment was diecut with the new Jewel Keys die (Spellbinders), and I added a little red heart that was diecut using Verve's From the Heart die set.

That about sums this card up.
Thanks so much for visiting!
Happy Stamping!!

March's Waltzingmouse Blog Party!!

I can hardly believe it's the 17th of March already. And this is a special day. Not only for Waltzingmouse Stamps, but for my husband who is celebrating his birthday today. :)

The theme for this month's Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party, of course, is St. Patrick's Day...green, shamrocks, etc. So I made a green based card, including a bitty shamrock and birthday sentiment from the Celtic Heritage set, created a background using an image from the new set Heirloom Patterns, and added a varigated butterfly from the new set Nordic Spring using Tea Leaves VersaMagic ink, and Pearlescent Sky Blue Brilliance ink. The bg was stamped with Latte (a muse), and the shamrock was stamped onto dp.

I diecut the center using Labels 18 and a Classic Oval die (Spellbinders), and popped it up with dimensional tape. If you click on the photos, you can see the sparkle on the Butterfly and shamrock better.

That's it for today. Thanks so much for visiting!
I hope you have a lovely St. Patrick's Day, and enjoy your weekend!!
Happy Stamping!

Live the life you've imagined

Hello everyone. I have a Viva la Verve Sketch challenge card to share with you today. This week our sketch is designed by the sweet and talented Moe. And it just happens to be her birthday on the 17th, so if your so inclined, click on her name above and give her some birthday love!!

For my card today, I used two favorite Verve sets of mine: Words of Wisdom, and Tag Time. I think the styles of both marry beautifully. And Verve has a Tagged Rectangle die designed for the tags, so it makes it extra easy to put together.

You may have noticed I've been stuck in the Shabby Chic style lately. I just can't stop myself from distressing the paper!! :) Well, I've discovered a store that fits beautifully with this style. It's called The Funkie Junkie Boutique, and Linda (the owner), is just the sweetest. The corrugated heart, lace and little roses are all from her store, as well as the Jute Mesh Burlap. So sweet!! I added some Stampendous Champagne Glass glitter to the edges of the heart, and some Gesso to all the dp.

The rest is pretty self explanatory. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a fabulous weekend. My husband is celebrating his 51st birthday on St. Patty's Day, and my son comes home from college tonight just in time. So I'm definitely looking forward to this weekend!!

Happy Stamping my friends!!

Birthday Wishes with VLV sketch

(Click on the photo to see the sparkle on the leaves and flower better)

Charmaine has designed the sweetest sketch for this week's VLV Sketch challenge over in the Verve Forum on Splitcoaststampers. I used a sentiment from the Verve set Making a Statement for the strip in the sketch, and a gorgeous flower made by Connie (Conniecrafter). A little while ago she sent me a card with some goodies inside: Beautiful handmade flowers and some gorgeous lace ribbon. See the lace along the vertical panel? Yep, that's from sweet and thoughtful Connie. I just added a Basicgrey button with a rhinestone to the flower and some glitter to the petals. Ya'll know I love to add a bit of sparkle. The dp is all from Simple Stories' Baby Steps Paper Pad.

Verve is having a Spring Sale too. 15% off select stamps and dies, so be sure to check it out. I mean, who can resist some fabulous Verve images?

That about sums it all up. Short and sweet for today. Be sure to check out the VLV sketches. They're super fun, and there's Verve to win if you participate in all of them this month.

Thanks for visiting!!
Happy stamping my friends!! :)

Have Faith

I have a JustRite Stamps card to share with ya'll today. Many of you know I've loved JR images for many years, and love it when I have an opportunity to work with them. For the card I'm sharing today, I used 3 different sets: Cast All Your Cares, Lace Borders Two, and Your Special Day Medallion Labels

I stamped the sentiment from Cast All Your Cares, directly onto dp from the Almanac line of Prima, and added a little Library Clip (SU!)

I had fun layering this gorgeous frame included in the Cast All Your Cares set too. First of all, let me tell you that it's compatible with the Labels 16 die from Spellbinders. LOVE that. I stamped it onto the dp and colored in a few of the stripes with a Copic. The flower was also colored with Copics and I added a bit of glitter to make it pop. The "Have Faith" sentiment is from their Your Special Day Medallion Labels set. On the top of the frame, I used the Chrome Silver Pearl Pen (Viva Decor). I also added some rhinestones and a sweet little glitterfied butterfly by using a Martha Stewart punch. The border behind the frame is one of JustRite's Lace Borders Two images. LOVE the design.

Lastly, I cut out a couple of the butterflies from the dp and popped them up in the bg.

That's it for today's project. I hope you're having a good week and have been finding inspiration all around you.
Happy Stamping my friends!!

Rustic Birthday Wishes

Waltzingmouse released 9 fabulous new sets Feb. 29, and I've had the most fun playing with them. I want to share a card with you today in which I used two of the sets: Compact Sentiments, and Vintage Labels 25.

I stamped the Vintage Labels 25 frame, with Smokey Gray Versafine, directly onto some woodgrained dp. (the dp is all from "On the Bright Side" by My Mind's Eye) I then added some layers to the frame using Labels 10 and Standard Oval dies (Spellbinders). For the background, I distressed some Corrugated paper (Canvas Corp) with some Gesso, and added some burlap and organdy.

For the floral bouquet, I used some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, some Wrinkled Ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique, and a Valencia Border diecut (Memory Box)

That about sums this baby up. Be sure to stop by Waltzingmouse to see all the new sets along with some samples to help inspire.

Thanks for visiting!!
Happy Stamping!!

Cheer Up

I have a shabby, whimsical card to share with you today. I love the kite and sweet clouds from Paper Smooches' Sunny Side Up set, and thought the "Cheer Up" sentiment complimented the "Celebrate today and everyday" sentiment from the Pretty Phrases set.

The kite and clouds are paper pieced, and I added a bit of sparkle to the clouds for some fun. All the paper is from the dp Be Amazing by My Mind's Eye, and the button is from MME's coordinating decorative buttons pack.

That's it for today. Be sure to stop by each day the rest of this week. I have a JustRite card and more Waltzingmouse projects to share.

Thanks for visiting!
Happy Stamping!!

Nicest Thoughts

Amber has designed a fabulous Viva la Verve sketch to start of the month of March. Check it out over at the Verve Forum.

I used the flower and leaves from the Sunny Days set, and the Plain Jain Nicest Thoughts. I thought they went beautifully with the dp Sun Kiss by Prima.
