Happy New Year!!
I just wanted to take a moment to wish all of you the happiest of New Years!! May 2010 be filled with joys and blessings beyond measure!
Also, I wanted to let you know that Michelle at Stamper's Dream has just put all of her Spellbinders on sale to make room for new product next year!! She also has My Mind's Eye (my all time favorite dp company) paper and all the JustRite stamps on sale among other things!! Be sure to check out her Sales and Specials section. Just Click HERE.
A Red Jeep
Isn't this jeep fun? My BIL LOVES jeeps and RED!!! So, when I saw this image from Incredible Stamps, of course I had to get it....and color it red with my Copics... LOL I then added some foliage with a wonderfully versatile Evergreen Branch by Inkadinkado. I think it adds a bit of warmth to the scene.
Now, I have to tell you about one of my new favoritest (that so needs to be a word :) sets by Tim Holtz. It's called Slight Alterations, and it's fabulous for creating bg's and dirtying up an image. I inked up the sanded image with Latte (Adirondack Dye Ink), stamped it off, and then stamped it directly over the image to give it a slight grunge look. I ended up covering most of the bg, but I used the other two images with Latte and Slate (Adirondack), to dirty it up a bit.
The sentiment was created by using the JustRite set Just a Note 1 5/8" Borders and Centers (yeah, I know.....I use that set a lot....*grin*), and the border was made with a Martha Stewart Border Punch. Finally, I ink distressed all the edges with Vintage Photo (Ranger Distress Ink). btw....the card is 4" x 4".
Don't forget...Stamper's Dream has some awesome Sales and Specials found HERE.
Thanks for stopping in today!!
Hope you have a fantabulous weekend!!!
Happy Stamping!!

A Square Thank You
Happy Tuesday my friends!! I'm so sorry for the huge gap in postings, but I've been spending some quality time with my family. And now, since the holidays are over, I needed a few thank you's. I tend to lean towards my JustRite stamps for my thank yous, because there is such a variety of ways to frame them, and in a simple, yet elegant, shabby chic, or CAS way. I chose to go the elegant route this time because there were a few images I wanted to work with.
I especially love JR's newest Square Frame releases!! Talk about a variety of fun, gorgeous, and versatile designs. The 2" Square Decorative Frames have to be some of my all time favorites of all the JR images!! I stamped them onto 4 different Prismatic colors: Mystic Medium, Island Mist Light, Crabapple Dark, and Wizard Medium using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I then used the same ink, stamped the "Thank You" sentiment from the Just a Note 1 5/8" Borders and Centers set onto Neenah Natural White cs and popped it up with Dimensional Tape (Scotch).
FYI: Stamper's Dream is having a 10% off sale of all the JustRite stamps!! Including the newest releases! How cool is that!!?!? Click HERE to see all the sales and specials.
The Thin Striped bg was made with some ultra fun Background stamps from Impression Obsession. Stamper's Dream carries these fabulous Cover a Card 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" Cling images and the fantastic Mega Mount Rocker Block too. (She's out right now, but a shipment is on the way.) I tell ya, I love that mount!! I actually layed the bottom edge against the bottom of my paper and rolled it up onto my paper. By doing that I had no problems stamping the stripes perfectly straight!! AWESOME!!
BTW...the card measures 4" x 4 ", the border punch along the bottom is Martha Stewart, and the ribbon is American Crafts and PTI. I also added a hint of bling with some Icons Rhinestones by Me & My Big Ideas.
That about explains it!
I hope you have a fantastic week. Stop by in a couple of days, I'll have another card to share with you on Thursday.
Happy Stamping my friends!!

Tired...
I made this tire card for one of my nephews this week. It's ultra simple to make. All you need is the following Spellbinders' Nestabilities dies: Scallop Circle, Inverted Scallop Circle, various Standard Circles. For the center, I used my tried and true go to....JustRite. For this center I stamped the star sentiment from the set Just a Note 1 5/8" Borders and Centers with Tuxedo Black (Memento).
To get the "tire treads" you first use a Scalloped Circle die (Spellbinders). You then line up a slightly smaller Circle die (Spellbinders) over the scallops. Just enough so it won't completely cut off the scallop. I then attached the tire shape to a previously cut circle shaped card.
See...easy!!
Hope you're having a wonderful week!

A CAS Silent Night...
I have a very simple card to share with you today. All I used was Spellbinders' Star and Square Nestabilities dies. Cut and embossed them, added some glitter around the star edges and popped them up with some dimensional Tape. I then stamped the gorgeous sentiment "Silent Night" from the Verve set Star of Wonder, with Versafine's Black Onyx.
You really should check out the sale, and darling free Digi image that Julee is offering over at Verve too. Click HERE!!!
Sorry I've been so absent lately. My son's home from college and we're doing a lot of family stuff. I do have another card to share with you again tomorrow though.
Hope you're enjoying this holiday season.

Relax!
Christmas is almost here, and if we're not careful, we can let the busyness of it all suck the joy right out of this season. This sweet Penny Black image called In a Nutshell, just spoke to me today. Sometimes we just need to Relaaaaaaaaax!!!! This image would be darling as a baby card too. Either way, I just thought it was precious!! It's stamped with Versamark onto watercolor paper, embossed with Detail Black ep, and watercolored with Tombows. I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch as a starting point. The Melon Berry ribbon is from Papertrey, and the crocheted ruffle is May Arts ribbon. The Rhinestones are Kaisercraft, and the scalloped border was made with a Martha Stewart border punch. Oh, and I almost forgot, the gorgeous and sweet paper is from one of my all time favorite companies, My Mind's Eye. The Be-Loved kit is full of wonderful color combinations and charming patterns.
Also, I want to take this opportunity to let you know that Michelle is having a fabulous....and I mean FABULOUS SALE on her JustRite Christmas images!! So, head on over to Stamper's Dream and check it out.
That about sums everything up.
I hope you're having a blessed week. Our son comes home from college today for two weeks, so we're pretty excited!!
Happy stamping my friends!!!

Pure Innocense
Aren't these little girls just precious? Well, my dear friend Frances sent these to me for my birthday a month ago, and I'm just now getting around to putting them on a card. I colored them right away, but the mojo had left the building and I didn't know what to do. I decided that the sweet and simple style of the images warranted a simple layout so as not to over power the charm. So, I used my Labels 8 Spellbinders die to make the base, colored the images with copics, and ink distressed the edges with Vintage Photo (Ranger Distress Ink) The dp is from Anna Griffin's Sierra Collection. I added a couple of buttons (PTI), and some Ice Blue Rhinestones (Kaisercraft) for a little punch, and that's about it. Simple and sweet!!
Here's the card with the image called My Balloon:
Here's the card with the image Flower Girl:
I thought I'd share a quick photo with you too. This was the view out my front bay window yesterday morning. The dairy in the photo is our neighbor. That's really the color too. The sun wasn't fully up yet.

Thinking of You
I just had to make another JustRite card. I so love their images, and the new Decorative 2" Round Wide Borders fit beautifully with the Ornare Pierced design I wanted to use. The circle border and sentiment (Just a Note 1 5/8" Centers and Borders) are stamped with Vintage Sepia (Versafine) onto Desert Coral Light (Prismatics). I added a Suede Brown Dark Fancy Tags diecut (Spellbinders) behind the Circle medallion, and a border punched on both sides of a 1 1/8" strip of cardstock. I also added some Kaisercraft Chocolate Pearls, some Rose Silk Ribbon, and some Martha Stewart punched butterflies. The edges are all ink distressed with Antique Linen.
The weekend is coming fast. Woo-Hoo!! I hope to get all my Christmas gifts wrapped and cards addressed. Hope your week is going well and that you have a nice restful weekend!!

A Mojo sketch and California Snow
I love sketch challenges to help get the mojo flowing. I already had this darling Henry Mouse Whiff of Joy image, colored and cut out with a Spellbinder's Octagon Nestabilites die, but didn't know where to go with it layout wise until I saw Monday's MOJO sketch today. It just clicked...add a couple of Spellbinders snowflakes from their Create a Flake sets and it works!! I then added an icicle border to the bottom with a Martha Stewart Border Punch, a sentiment from one of Waltzingmouse's Gingerbread sets called Half Baked Gingerbread Joy, and there ya have it.
I also added some liquid applique to the marshmallows, some glitter with my Quickie Glue Pen and Ultrafine Transparent Glitter, and a PTI ribbon bow. The image was watercolored with my Tombows. Michelle is out of this particulare Henry Mouse image, but she has 4 other darling images to choose from.
That's it for my card, but I'd like to share a photo with you of our "California Snow". This is as close to snow as we usually get. It's actually snowed twice here in the 20+ years that I've lived here, but this type of "snow" (giggle) is not uncommon in the winter months......This is as close to a "White Christmas" as I'll get this year more than likely.

You're Too Kind
So did ya'll enjoy your weekend? I sure did! I spent Saturday shopping with a friend of mine, and ended it with watching the movie Blindsided. Talk about a fabulous movie!! LOVED it. Especially knowing it's a true story.
I really enjoyed stamping today too. My friend Laurie has made some gorgeous, gorgeous cards embossing black onto dark gray and black. I love this charming image from Verve's Thankful Accents set and thought it would work well embossed on PTI's Smokey Shadow cardstock. The circle frame was stamped with Cranberry Adirondack Dye Ink onto white cs. I added the word "Thanks" (Celebration of Thanks - Verve), and a flag with a sentiment from the Verve set Thankful Hearts. I added a bit of bling with some Rhinestones and pearls, and some decorated edges with some Martha Stewart border punches.
That about sums it up. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Labels 8 box tutorial for JustRite Week at Stamper's Dream
I fell in love with the Top Note box the first time I saw the tutorial by Angie Tieman on SCS. You can find it HERE. Isn't it adorable? Well, I don't own the SU! Top Note die, so I modified the idea a bit to fit with the Spellbinders Labels 8 die. It's so easy, and only requires two pieces of cardstock: 4 1/2" x 6", and 3" x 4 1/2" and a piece of ribbon about 18" long.
First let me show you the finished product.
The medallion was made with a JustRite image from one of the newest released sets called Decorative 2" Round Wide Borders, and the center image from an older set called A Merry Little Christmas Borders and Centers 1 5/8". Isn't that intricate border gorgeous? I stamped it with Versamark onto Desert Coral Dark (Prismatics), and embossed it with Ivory ep. The Rhinestones are from Kaisercraft, and the sparkle was added with a Quickie Glue Pen and Ultrafine Transparent Glitter. I also added some decoration behind the medallion with one of Spellbinder's Fancy Tags. The decorative Paper I used is by My Mind's Eye and is called Be Loved.
One of my favorite things about JustRite images is that you can mix and match so many of their sets. That means there are endless possibilities!!
Let me show you how easy this is to make. Here are the cardstock pieces cut and scored: (you can click on the photos for a closer look)
Here's the inside after assembly: First, I punched the slots for the ribbon with my SU! Slot punch. I then used Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue to assemble because I'm terrible at lining up the scored Label 8 piece with the box half. The glue remains wet long enough to move it around until the fit is perfect. Glue it to the bottom half and the 1/2" scored side.
Candy companies are getting so creative with their packaging now days. This little snickers bar fit perfectly inside. I plan on giving this to my niece with some cash underneath it for Christmas. What little kid doesn't like money with a sweet little treat?
Finally, here's a side view of the box:
This is the final day of JustRite week for Stamper's Dream. I hope you've enjoyed the projects the design team has shared with you. Check out with these gals have come up with for today:
Michelle, Amy, Cammie.

Framed by JustRite
It's JustRite week at Stamper's Dream, and the Dream Team has some wonderful projects to share with all of you. I LOVE the new 2" Square and Circular Frames JustRite recently released. They're gorgeous and work well together and with previously released images also.
For this card, I used one of the new 2" Decorative Frames. I stamped it with Vintage Sepia (Versafine) onto Birchtone Light (Prismatics). I really liked how Laurie framed an image found Here, so I popped my frame up and Stamped the sentiment "Thank You" (from the set Just a Note 1 5/8" Borders and Centers) with Onyx Black (Versafine), on the bottom layer. I blinged up the frame a bit with Zva Creative Mini-Rhinestones and Pearls. They're so tiny and sweet!! ;o) The other pearls on the card are by Kaisercraft.
The punched frame was made with Martha Stewart Punches. I just took a 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of Birchtone Medium cs, punched the four corners with the corner punch, then lined up the border punch in the center. The lattice punch and side scallops are also Martha Stewart, and the large scallops are EK Success.
The dreamy paper is from two of My Mind's Eye's newest releasescalled Life's Stories Collections. I LOVE these papers!!
I made my own brads with Chatterboxes Easy Brad Maker Kit. Stamper's Dream is sold out of the kit, but it has some refills left.
Oh, I almost forgot, the plum colored lattice and scallops were made with Wizard Dark Prismatics.
Whew...that's a lot of info for one little card. Thanks for hangin' in there with me. Now, you won't want to miss the other Dream Team projects, so I'm including the schedule:
JustRite Schedule:
Monday: Michelle, Denise, Laurie
Tuesday: Michelle, Amy, Denise, Me
Wednesday: Michelle, Denise, Silke
Thursday: Michelle, Silke, Laurie
Friday: Michelle, Amy, Cammie, Me
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fantastic week, and Happy Stamping!!
